I was going to ask what he does drink, aside from the obvious.

Agreed. Sometimes they miss bad but they also have some really fine beer. Back Burner is terrific, even better oak aged....

Never drinking a Dave again. Cracked one with Rempo and Shagtastic last night; it was way oxidized and was mostly undrinkable*

*this is based on true events, only the name of the beer has been changed to protect the innocent

    I'm curious about this too.

One thing that this thread does show how subjective beer is for all of us. It reminds me to alter my wording from "that beer sucks" to "I can't stand that beer." To each their own.

This was all I could drag up in a very brief Google. I know I read more elsewhere at some point, but sadly I did not hold onto the articles for posterity's sake.

Also, their jobs page seems to indicate a lack of respect for employees and basic employee needs.

Shipyard Pumpkinhead. Just had it for the first and last time last night. Given to me by the person whose house I was at and I consumed it so I wouldn't offend this person. It tasted like a light beer filtered through potpourri. The spice and pumpkin was very artificial tasting.

Well, that does it for me. I've not bought a lot of Rogue and now I'll refrain from buying it at all. Let the union in and I'll reconsider.

I think ST tends to emphasize malt presence, i.e. they leave beers sweet, and also a lot of their beers come off very, very hot. These things tend to turn off some % of the beer geek community. I have respect for their beers, even if I don't love (or even particularly like) most of them - although I actually really do love Pumking.
