So they added a perk that nobody will get? Now I'm really confused...

Wait until next year, it will all become clear.

I've been waiting for more Les Ronces since the initial release! Easily the best sour they've put out in a long time (at least for us lowly RS members).

That is cool. Our 2018 membership will have less included merch and more value in the included beers. Additional merch will be available throughout the year, and members can use their 15% (RS) or 20% (HS) discounts on it (and any other purchases at our Tasting Rooms, online, etc.) for the items they most want. In addition, we plan to continue our Hoarders Cuvee treatment tournaments and bottling of the winning blends. We have other new and returning features up our sleeves for 2018 as well. The announcements are right around the corner ;-)

Less merch? Last year had a nice glass (I use it frequently and really like it), a busted opener, a pin, and maybe some stickers. I'm not sure it can get much less.

Interesting bottle count went down, but there will be more value in them. Must be all weekday variants?

A branded pacifier and little packet of 3-ply pocket Kleenex are all some people around here would need.

    15 & 16. Black Tuesday Reserve (2018)
    17 & 18. The Bruery Hoarders Cuvee (2018)
19 & 20. Hoarders Society-exclusive collaboration from The Bruery with a prominent Napa Valley producer

Glassware Pair of 2018 Hoarders Society-exclusive branded glassware

Bonus Beer! A surprise release from the archives and one of our funky favorites - included with your membership and in your initial package. Plus, as you hit certain thresholds throughout the year, you'll be rewarded with more included archive beers.

Your access includes (but the above number does not) new, experimental, small batch treatments of beers previously considered too small to package - available exclusively to Hoarders Society members, starting in 2018.

In addition to these small batch runs and the included beers (listed above), additional anticipated releases for 2018 include but are not limited to the following:
    • You Asked For It (bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with vanilla)
    • White Chocolate Chunk
    • PB & Thursday
    • Black Tuesday (plus a variant aged in the grand cru of California wine barrels)
    • Chocolate Rain
    • Grey Monday
    • Blue BBLs
    • Imperial Cabinet
    • Windowsill
    • Les Ronces
    • A collaboration or two with Chef Brooke Williamson
    • A bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout with coconut
    • New foeder-aged farmhouse releases
    • A French toast-inspired bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale
    • A dark sour anniversary beer for Bruery Terreux
    • A bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale with coffee
    • A Bananas Foster-inspired bourbon barrel-aged ale
    • A new, experimental, sour wine-beer hybrid with white grapes
    • A peach cobbler-inspired bourbon barrel-aged ale
    • A bourbon barrel-aged wheatwine with orange creamsicle-like flavors
    • A strawberry cream-inspired bourbon barrel-aged ale
    • A “sessionable” PB&J ale
    • An oak-aged sour blonde collaboration project brewed with Beachwood Blendery, The Good Beer Company, Highland Park Brewery, Modern Times Beer, Monkish Brewing Co. and Phantom Carriage
    • A quad aged in apple brandy barrels

Plus new fruited treatments to classic Bruery Terreux releases, and new installments in our Frucht, anniversary, Christmas and Share This series of beers.

Please note: while we expect to begin the year packaging the majority of beers in 750-ml. bottles, we may potentially introduce more in a smaller size bottle format as the year progresses. As such, the volume of included beer will be the same or greater than if it were packaged in 750-ml. bottles.

DC and CA memberships same price.

there will be Wax Your Own and Black Tuesday Release parties in DC and potentially Black Tuesday Treatment/Hoarders Cuvee Blending tournaments in DC.

if you buy a DC membership, beer is sent from CA to DC once per month, and you opt-in for yr beer to be sent to DC that month. you then have 30 days to pick up or it is returned/drank by staff and you are charged a $2 restocking fee and must file a new request to have beer shipped to DC.

you can pick two friends/trustees that will also get your benefits at the CA Tasting Rooms and DC store.

@BruerJoel quick question re: RS/HS details - one difference I noticed is that, for included bottles, RS gets 1 bottle of...
"Reserve Society-exclusive collaboration from The Bruery with a prominent Napa Valley producer"

    HS gets 2 bottles of...
"Hoarders Society-exclusive collaboration from The Bruery with a prominent Napa Valley producer"

Are these two different beers? If so, will HS get allocations of the "RS-exclusive" one?

The list of expected releases in 2018 (in the "new beer releases" section, obv the included bottles have some HS exclusives) is the same for RS/HS, but this paragraph stands out for HS:

"Your access includes (but the above number does not) new, experimental, small batch treatments of beers previously considered too small to package - available exclusively to Hoarders Society members, starting in 2018."

I hope that means we'll get to try some of the stuff that otherwise only shows up as experimental tap releases at the tasting rooms!

Man there is some pure awesome included in those new details. Some great sounding new beers, returns of ones I am glad to see come back again (PB & Thurs..with hopefully more PB!), and some of the benefits (including 2 folks for split memberships is awesome). Looking forward to Hoarders in 2018 for sure.
