Wondering the same thing. Bought a ticket, haven't had a chance to buy ingredients or anything.

Can't make people happy. Someone misses an email about allocations coming to an end and complain they were not informed. They send a reminder to renew your membership and get complaints.

Not the frequency... all they are doing to make it seem "special" because a lot of people were less-than-thrilled this year. Think a lot of people are dumping their memberships after this year and the response is a day late and a dollar short.

It's working though, people that were going to cancel are now willing to renew.

Perhaps - I just don't know if it is having an effect or not. That statement doesn't ring true with anyone I know personally.

For the record, I think Bruery will have plenty of members all told... I just personally suspect RS/HS renewals will be down overall, however.

The Cascade/Bruery Terreux side by side comparison at Provisions yesterday was a fantastic chance to compare the recipes and the process of each brewery. IMO, the Bruery had that funkiness that I love from sours by Terreux, but man... that Cascade was top notch. Super crisp, clean, heavy berry flavor and sharp lemon.

You listen to Patrick's new podcast? First episode goes really in depth on it. I don't like sours and still thought it was interesting!

I did! half on my way to work, the other half on the way back.. I thought Patrick did a good job as a host as well. I am curious about that "wild night" they kept mentioning in the beginning... Hmm

How many times dors this need to be asked? It's been answered since the initial news of DC opening.

@BruerJoel, any chance at making the anniversary series or a portion of it a blend of BA and clean beer again? The 100% BA versions are great but I think some of the subtle notes of the base beer get lost. I drank a blended Cuir last night and the difference in flavor profile from the 100% BA versions was pretty remarkable.

It would be interesting to taste that fresh, however I think that the 100% Coton and Cuir are much better than the blended ones.

I'm still hoping on some straight White Oak Sap.

Oh hell yeah. +1 on White Oak Sap!

For Anniversaries, would be fun to do a three bottle series kind of like Arbre with 33% , 66%, and 100% BA.

I would love to see the multiple barrel treatment that Sucre got. I could use some more cognac barrel aged beers.

That Portuguese Brandy was fire. Damn. I'm also one for hoping on White Oak Sap one day. White Oak is a fave but I don't enjoy it as much fresh, the Mischief overpowers it a little.

Agree. I think the final batch (RIP) is hitting it's stride right now.

    Good thing it's incredibly cheap.

Also, I've heard through the grapevine that it will return but under another name.

Opened a Rye Sucre tonight... Mmmmmm....

Last week I finally opened my bottle of Deschutes Cognac Barrel Abyss... Having recently done a full 2009-2016 vertical of regular Abyss, I think the Cognac one tops them all.
