@mike_v_sardina hows the new digs? What's your role at Bissell?

 

The new digs are stellar, I'm incoming as "events manager, hospitality lead, and employee wellness director..."

So, to that end, I'm sure I'll see some of you around... Cheers y'all!

Oh, and Swish season is coming...

 

last year I think it was like 450 cases (or 500?). Still sold out. Think I got some but got there like an hr and a half early.

 

I got there at 9:15 and was about 20 from the front of the line in the back. After that first release though I was able to roll in there after noon and got in and out with no lines and no waiting.

 

Missed SWISH by 3 weeks. Dammit.

Gonna have to trade TH for it I guess.

Any chance there are some holdovers tomorrow of the release of I&I today?

I didn't see then (Bissell) make any follow up posts/updates...

 

Don't know about Bissell's supply, but Bier Cellar will be selling some today.

anyone got a prediction for line situation at noon on Thursday & Engram release?

not dying for Engram, but just want to get my Subby allotment and be on the road. Trying to make Millionocket by 4 (and stop at Austin & Foundation) and don't want to be in lines.

 

^ nice...ok so same question, what's a new IPA day line look like right at noon at Bissell? could get there by 11:45 easy

 

Eh, you kinda got unlucky with a new beer. Regardless, an hour early will be plenty. Not sure if they're opening at 11 or noon though (as this is extremely confusing, hopefully will be more clear on next release schedule). Think they open at noon.

 

Any shot that I'll get some NG if I swing by on Friday afternoon around 4-5pm? I don't think I'll be in town before then.

 

Possibly. They've actually been carrying over cans from one day to another now that the tourists are gone. But NG is one of their more popular beers though so you might miss out. Tough to say.

As far as line trading goes, I can't bring hops (other than some TH, maybe) but do locals sling these cans for things such as prairie stouts and other southern/midwestern stouts. Mothers Brewing does some great stuff that (IMO) is worth swapping for.

 

Some Prairie bottles (BOMB!'s especially) have been available in the area recently so that might work against you a little bit. I've never line traded at Bissell so I'm not sure what exactly you can fetch but I know that we don't have a lot of great local stouts so you might get someone to bite.

and I would say 0% chance of NG cans friday with new beer thursday

 

Appreciate the responses. I didn't think we'd see NG on Friday but hoped to maybe trade for it on Saturday. I wouldn't bring more than a couple prairie bottles. Likely Vanilla Noir and Pirate Bomb.
