Getting a head start on tomorrow’s Stein Club Sunday. Picked this one of Munich up for just £1 in a charity shop. Having a homebrewed dunkelwizen. You can see from the older pic it didn’t come out as dark as expected but tastes good all the same.

 

Came back from the beach to grab a bite at this little shack a few blocks away called the Shark Shack.

Grouper bites and hushpuppies. House made cilantro lime sauce and a little hot sauce for dipping? Definitely. And a Landshark. When in Rome.

It's a running "joke" as to when the GF and I will hear a Sublime song when we're brewery hopping in NOVA. Down in Richmond, haven't heard any yet. Then again, Alewerks is currently playing synth jazz. The live music outside might pull one out, though.

A decent Berliner that I thinks needs a little more sour bite. Not much, it just hits and fades too quick for me.

Peanut Butter, absolutely. Jelly, you bet. But not grape jelly, which is fine, and delicious, but a berry and I can't quite id the berry. Does that make me a deuche?

Drinking this great hazy DIPA from Hops and Grain from a 50 cent glass I found at Goodwill. Preparing for the Texas Tech vs OSU matchup tonight! Guns Up! Wreck Em!

 

What a glorious afternoon BAs. Gorgeous fall Saturday in Chicago, sipping a home-brew IPA (Citra, Azzaca, some Galaxy), and playing ball with the dog in the backyard.



To make it even better, my Badgers won. I knew Northwestern would give them a run, so glad it ended with a W.

Had a productive morning, got the oil changed and grocery shopping done before the game, so I've earned some brews. Heading to Rev Oktoberfest with some good friends in a bit. Phenomenal day for it.

Wow! This is really good. The pineapple and coconut are just slight flavors and the lactose makes the mouthfeel soft and smooth.

 

I reckon they can put on an Ofest in Boerne and Fredericksburg

 

Going with the same, two in a row. These are supposed to be enjoyed fresh after all.

 

Right on! Lol, exactly like getting married or having a kid. I've only ever had one Cantillon myself and was pretty fascinated and only one session IPA by Burley but had a feeling that Burley's sours probably are no where in the same boat with Cantillon. Still, like what JamFuel said, it's the thrill of being able to try something that one can't get. I get it, but am excited to see more Americans being able to try Cantillon. However, correct me if I'm wrong since the Philly area is a way bigger area than the Burlington, VT area, I'm guessing maybe Monk's Café and some other places might be able to get some pretty elusive Belgians that I don't see in Vermont. TBH, or what I've seen, we don't see as much in bottle here but then again, I don't hang out in a lot of the beer bars around here like I used to so I may be missing out on some things that I'm unaware of.

 

Back home and enjoying some In Abstentia from Brick and Feather.
