Just picked up Session 2 and requested vacation time for Wednesday to recover. Does anyone have a list of what was available last year? First time going, very excited!

Of course this event takes place right after my wedding and honeymoon. Future wifey was almost pissed when I asked her to change our honeymoon for this.. That didn't work out lol. Oh well have fun guys with this event, wish I could go :slight_frown:

Thanks, I'll definitely try it next time for sure. I haven't visited the whole month of Sept, so I wanted to try the newer items. If only the October brews were available last night!

I'm pretty bummed that I'm going to miss the BT Release Party.

    Any word on BT Port?

From my view, we're still waiting on[Hoarders]:

    Black Tuesday® - Port
    Wineification™ with Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
    Bruery Terreux Hoarders Cuvee™

    Anyone else confirm?

BT Port was in the beers that will be released in the next 1-3 months.

"Vindictive II" was in there as well - not sure if there will be different versions for hoarders/reserve, iirc from a year ago the beers advertised for this year said hoarders would get wineification w/ napa cabernet, reserve would get wineification w/ zinfandel (I'll take both!).

Oh, to answer my own question, another of the upcoming beers (appearing for the first time) was "Perata". Googled it and this came up: http://nightowl.com/lawyer-nah-id-rather-own-a-brewery/

NightOwl: If there were a beer that you could brew with no regards to cost or production or sales, what would it be and why?

Patrick: I think we’ve done it, and it’s this year’s version of Vindictive. We co-fermented Black Tuesday with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Perata Vineyards in Napa Valley, a great vineyard in the Yountville AVA. As you can imagine, grapes of this quality are very expensive, as is the new French oak puncheon barrels it’s aging in. This beer / wine hybrid is tasting amazing right now, I can’t wait for it!

...so that's probably our Cabernet Wineification. Can't wait!

Well, went to smm last night and well wow another light month for allocations. Wasn't blown away by any of the allocations but I'll post short comments on each beer:

Zesty Mounds - imo the orange ruined it for this beer. Flavors were muted and didn't get much coconut at all. When it warmed up it smelled like orange furniture polish. Not sure how this blend was awarded but it failed for me.

BA: Share this - disappointment for me. Back end gave me some almost medicinal flavor I couldn't pin point. Maybe burnt bitter 90% dark chocolate.

10 lords a leaping - like drinking a Christmas tree dipped in black licorice.

SITR POG - flavors were on point but extremely mouth puckering on the first sips. Let it sit out and it becomes more tolerable but I wouldn't down a whole bottle.

I guess I'll just buy a few bt bottles and call it a day but man, this was tough but I hope these beers get better or my pallet is just shit, idk.

Didn't care for mounds or 10 lords, but I thought BA share this was somewhat balanced. I did however get 8 BAGJG so it's just bad timing there haha.

SITR POG is great, has a nice fleshy tropical fruit flavor, not the sugary sweet that was Beret with peaches & vanilla. Glad it wasn't heavy on the orange.

I like that your 10 Lords comment could have ended with either "mmm" or "bleh".

I was on the fence this month with Zesty Mounds and Share this, but it looks like I'll only be in for a few bottles of BT and 2x 10 Lords (gotta keep the "vertical" going)

I don't know why they had to add orange
Why did they have to add orange zest to this - it sounded so promising without it.

Damn, had been looking forward to Zesty Mounds after the Mounds-type beer at the anniversary party. The orange making it so offputting is a huge disappointment. Like you said, pretty promising combo to start, without cramming it with unnecessary adjunct flavors.

Sounds like I'll have to buy some of the SitR POG then.
