    Stone Xocoveza tonight.

Never noticed these orange floaties before. Cinnamon or nutmeg? Am I gonna die?

Enjoying outside on a damp, upper 50's Fall night. Thanks to my brother-in-law for this beer. Cheers!

Always excellent IPA, one of my classic favorites. Flavors of bright grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with light caramel, bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness. Smooth, crisp, and sticky hop mouthfeel; with some grainy/creamy malt balance. Drying, lightly resinous finish; no hop astringency. Great Cascade, Centennial, Willamette hop complexity all around. Definitely my most bought Lagunitas beer of all time. Just got a really fresh 6 pack this evening, haven't had in 6 months or so. Nice mix of vibrant and dank hop notes.

Awesome IPA! Flavors of bright/juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread/light caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Balanced sticky/resinous hops and bready malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Super easy drinking and delicious. Never overly aggressive. Simcoe, Cascade, and Columbus hops. Pretty fresh can I grabbed recently. Hard to find these fresh as singles, but glad they date their cans now. Will always grab their beers when I know they are fresh.

Awesome as usual. Got the last 2016 pack off the shelf a couple weeks ago. Flavors of big nutty medium roast coffee; with milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, molasses, toasted dark bread, and hints of dark fruits. Bittersweet creamy/silky medium-plus body, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Touch of roasted dryness. Great well balanced coffee/stout complexity. Doesn't hold a candle to the Founders, but I still love it for it's own reasons. More of balanced coffee stout, with more dark malt sweetness and less roast/char dryness; while still having a ton of nutty/fruity coffee character. Bells took this off the 2017 Fall seasonal list for the new Coffee Milk stout. Next year isn't going to have it either according to the 2018 calendar released today, some other new coffee stout too

Awesome as usual. Big flavors of juicy grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, toffee, toasted biscuit, and light nutty malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish. Balanced bready creaminess and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Minimal warming ABV. Always delicious year after year. Might pick up a full 4 pack. Very similar to Lake Erie Monster from the Simcoe hops, but with darker malt character.

Didn't know these two made a record together! I love them both, but never did put together how they are kind of opposite sex versions of one another till I saw this. What a great pair! Oh, and those beers look pretty damn good, too.

I've had a bunch of milk stouts that were way too thin bodied. I know what you mean.

Good evening LNBAs. Been a sad one here.

On this gloomy, rainy Chicago day, my Grandma passed away. She was the last grandparent standing for my wife and I, so this one feels particularly final.

I hit the logical ways to help feel better: She was 92 and lived a good, long life. Her eyesight, hearing, and quality of life were severely declining over the last year. And she died peacefully in bed overnight, without extended pain.

But it's still my Mom's mom and Grandma. And she was the sweetest, most caring person I've known. So no matter how prepared you think you are, it still stings.

So I'm lifting an aged, delicious beer, one of my favorites, in her memory. Founders 2014 Imperial Stout.

Cheers to Grandma everyone. Give your loved ones an extra hug tonight.
