I have yet to see any. That said on the opposite side of the spectrum I did pick up some Hooey at Liquor Barrel off 694/Century yesterday.

 

I am also very interested in finding Galaxy Sue in the Twin Cities. Seems like TG's distribution in the Twin Cities is like Forest Gump's box of chocolates (you never know what you're gonna git).

 

Wild Mind still has some of their limited bottled Coolship beers for sale as of 4 pm Sunday.

 

Any Fulton Specter sightings? I have the day off and don't know how fast this will sell so willing to drive around a little while I have the time if it's anywhere around the cities.

 

Yeah, when it's still hot and I don't want to be drinking it. I don't recall it being quite this bad last year, but I guess I've learned to stock up in early September for next year.

I managed to get a bottle of Hammerheart's Dark Gourd so I'm good on the pumpkin beer front now at least.

 

I would highly recommend trying a can of Rum King before you buy a ton. I really liked last years right away, 2017 not so much. Thin, tang to it, sweet soy, little barrel. Maybe if I let it get to room temp it will be better. I purchased it at TW MG yesterday. It was in the left back corner of the walk in as you are facing the door. Kind of hidden behind other Indeed stacks.

 

To give a counter view, I much more enjoy this year's version. It is sweeter than last year's/not as much of the hop profile as years past, but still a great imperial IMHO. Beautiful rum barrel finish. Definitely recommend purchasing one prior to investing too much though. I didn't get it from TW MG so it could be related to that or just hit/miss from can to can.

 

6 hour tour 750s at Town Hall. Not sure how much is left but worth trying to get some if you have time this afternoon.

I agree, I thoroughly enjoyed this years Rum King.

I also thought it had a pretty good mouth feel and wasn't that thin like state above.

I thought I it was not to thin but I did think it had some kind of added flavor I wasn't a huge fan of maybe nutmeg or cinnamon? I definitely did not like it as much but feel like with 6 or so months on it it should settle down a bit and be better IMO

Safe to assume Darkness bottles will hit most of the metro on Monday (10/23)??....

 

'Spontane' is still available, as of Monday evening (looked to be thirty or so bottles on the shelf), 'Spontane: Bramble' is sold out.

 

Can confirm that this is a fantastic beer. Way smoother than the 3-hour (which I also love). I don't know what they have left on tap, but the mini-growlers were gone by 5:00.

 

They were also sold out when I was there, also. The person running the taproom thought there were still a few left, but he was wrong.

 

Yikes.. For $15.99/4 pack I would hope it would be better than "pretty good". Prices for IPAs are getting a bit out there.

 

I'd think the same, but read up on the story behind the beer. It's for a good cause.
