Short's Brewing Releases & Updates (2018)

I'm gonna go ahead and hope for a Richard in the Dirt bottle release (although I finally got to try it earlier this year, thanks to Scott!). But I'd reeeeaaaally like to see Evil Urges back, the original Anniversary Ale, and PGGB. Those are my top 3. Also: Uber Goober or PB&J Stout, Starshot, Step Into the Haze, Chickenbach Brown, and Carrot Cake. I think Dolly Dagger could use another go-round.

 

I'd like to see Peaches and Cream return, Dans Pink Skirt, Bludgeon yer Eye, Raisin Apollo, Pan Galactic, just to name a few!

 

Superfluid in sixers would be#1, PGGB #2, and bring back weezy in 6ers

 

Just drank my last evil urges from 2014 release last night. Damn does that beer age well. Would love to see this one again. Also would like to see black licorice lager back.

 

No, joke, I've spent the last two and a half years hunting shops and Beermenus for dusty old bottles without much luck. If it does release again, I'm getting a case and putting half of it away.

 

I will second the motion for Peaches & Cream.

 

I'd like to see the original Anniversary Ale(s) as well. I'm pretty sure there were 2-4 different ones, part one and some variations of part deux if I remember right. At the time I think a 15% triple IPA (part 1 I think) was almost unheard of (maybe 120 min?), it would be interesting to see how it seems now that something that extreme is more common. I can't remember what the part deux was/were exactly, but it would be interesting to revisit IMO.

 

You're absolutely right. My first howler was Anni Ale part 1 which was a triple IPA. I remember it being so smooth and syrupy. I drank it out of a Solo cup at my wife's family reunion and no one wanted a cup so I ended up finishing it myself. I had no idea what I'd gotten myself into. Part 1 would be sweet to have again.

 

Your comment reminds me of the Batch 5000. I wonder how similar they were? I won't pretend to remember after 10 years!

 

Dan's Pink Skirt, Swirl Stout, and Alien Einstein were some of my favorites. Sixers of the Spruce Pilsner and Superfluid would be awesome too!

I've heard great things about Lil Wheezy, Uber Goober, and Richard in the Dirt. I'd love to give those a try at some point as well.

 

Anyone check the community events recently? Looks like there are many "Super Hoppy Holiday" tap takeovers all over Michigan that says they are showcasing the 2017 six beer holiday variety 12 packs.

I know! I drank my last one when Peachy Pom Pom came out. Critterless did come out the winner against Wishful Sinful, Anni Ale 13, Kwikriek, Peachy, and Exeter in my Short's sour night haha.
