Yep I was expecting lower price point but knew the backstory and cause.

Seriously, it better be mind bottling for that price.

Per their website, no proceeds from the sale of cans is going to charity, only pints sold at the taproom.

From the website: "We will continue to do so each year this beer appears, by donating $1 for every pint sold at the taproom to the AFSP, and also by opening a dialogue on mental health issues which are all too often invisible."

So, even IF they are also donating $1 for each can, it would appear they have priced it so the $1 is not hurting them any. Yeah, I'm a cynic.

Call me a cynic as well... But at that price they aren't really donating anything. Sure, they may not be keeping that $15.99 to themselves. They're forcing my donation and potentially passing it on(which who knows because I didn't see where can sales were being donated, only tap as others have mentioned)..

So they are charging me extra to donate to a worthwhile cause. But I would rather donate at my own will. So to speak..

I dunno, with fresh hop season being among us and the premium they command over "regular" IPAs. I may just skip out on this one.. I'm still jaded by the "re-release" of "Hopstar". Less quality and more $. No thanks, Fulton.

doesn't sound like they're donating any money from the canned release, just taking advantage of the current market/hype of NEIPAs.

Ugh... count me out then. I'm not dropping $16 for it.

Well the $1 didn’t sway my decision to purchase but made me feel better until I read this :slight_frown:

is $16 that bad for 64oz of beer? You pay almost that for a single 750ml growler fill @ barrel theory for some of their IPA's, I know Blackstack crowlers of the DDH 755 were 10 or 11 for 750ml and I just paid for 16 for a 64oz growler fill of Sploosh Juice NEIPA @ Lupulin. Are you going to find better beer cheaper? probably but $16 for 64oz of beer especially through distribution seems about right on point for this style to me. Now lets move on from the discussion of price and back to finding bottles.

ISO of Specter on the northern end of the cities since I didn't find it yesterday and for people looking I have seen a couple spots tweet out they received Galaxy Dry Hop Sue which I am also ISO in the same area if anyone spots it.

Picked some Specter up at SLL today, for reference here's a photo...

I hate to pile on Fulton (I'm a fulton fan), but this isn't a NEIPA! This is a nice IPA but virtually no haze as you can see. It's good, don't get me wrong, but hopstar is much hazier and closer to the New England style than this beer. I bought 2 packs and as others have said the price is pretty steep so that will probably be it for me.

I had a Foggy Geezer prior to this and that beer kicks Specter's ass in the NEIPA department....

Just to play devil's advocate, the only 4pk of Foggy Geezer I bought was equally hazeless. Great IPA, but didn't seem to style. Figured it was just a one off. Maybe crack a Specter from the other pack and see if it's the same?

    I... don't care if it's hazy?

    How does it smell/taste?

Also, where are you guys buying 4 packs of Foggy Geezer?

No haze no care club as well. Little to no nose for me, decent mouthfeel, sweet with strange aftertaste. Wanna be dreamyard
