Yea $5 for a full tulip was awesome! I wasn't alone so got to try everything. Great event, though a bit of a wait to get a bar tender.

Shot down to Bissell after for a pour/Star Wars movie and my buddy wanted food. Was please to see plenty of lux left over.

My wife would bring tons of Veil home when she was working at her other office in Richmond. Love their beers!

Having never been to Bissel Brothers, especially a release like this, what time is good to get there before open? Like 9-10am?

Never been to a swish release not interested to know in wait times or things like that but mainly should I bring beer to trade with? Do people bring beer from other breweries to trade with? Does the brewery care if you trade? Are there bottle shares?

No bottle shares but I've seen people trade beers in line. I haven't seen the brewery take an active role in regulating that but perhaps someone who has been more recently can say otherwise.

9AM should be good. I try to get there around then for the big releases and am usually through the line in 10 minutes when they open.

expect to wait at least an hour after open though...

it's really hard to say to those asking, last year was an unprecedented line, likely another one on Saturday...

Yeah, that's certainly possible. First release last year I got there a little at 8:30 and was about 50 deep in the back line. I got there at 9am for the first NG release and was about the 10th person in the back. I think going straight to the loading dock line helps too because there's always more people up front.

Last December, showed up around 7:30 and was around 15 deep in the back line. Back line is definitely the way to go, we were all sharing lots of beer

Why do folks need to "bottle share" or drink, in public, early in the morning? There's literally no good way to justify that one

Why do you need to justify sharing beer in the morning? It's a stupid cultural thing. The open-container law is quite unique to this country, so don't try to play it off as some strange, deviant activity. Damn Puritans. When you are waiting in line at a brewery, for beer, on a weekend none the less, why is it bad to want to share some beer? Give me one good reason. You can't.

It's 8am, it's illegal, it's others property who would not want it, at 8am. But hey, have at it. Id never stop someone,

The quote I responded to: "Why do folks need to "bottle share" or drink, in public, early in the morning? There's literally no good way to justify that one".

Where in there does that say anything about location, legality, or owners request? If a brewery asks not to have people opening bottles, I'm not saying anyone should ignore them. However the post I responded to is attacking the idea of someone drinking in the morning as some sort of deviant behavior. It's not.

And don't bring legality into it. There are so many stupid laws in this country due to Puritans, and laws change. 5 years ago you could end up in jail for having weed on you in public...

Once your outside those doors your're not their concern, and not even on their property. The brewery doesn't even own the space. Someone else owns the sidewalk (if we're talking Bisssll) and the buildings

Again, what does that have to do with saying someone wanting to share and drink beer in the morning is behaving like a deviant?
