Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Saturday so far. Made a little side quest haul locally this afternoon, because I wanted more Death by Coconut. Got 3 more packs to hold me over for the year. Also finally found some Night Owl, so another win. Found a few more new beers as a bonus. I am definitely good to go for a while now after the 2 trade boxes this week.

    Today's Reviews:

This was really solid. Great head retention and soapy lacing for the style. Crystal clarity. Aromas and flavors of cracker, corn, white bread, and herbal/grassy/peppery hops. Light-moderate herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp. Balanced grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness. No hop astringency. Perfectly clean lagering, no esters/off flavors. No skunk from green bottle either. Refreshing and fairly clean finishing. Flavorful and not too watery for the ABV. It's pleasant and enjoyable. I've had far worse and much blander pale lagers than this one. Nice level of hop presence for the style. Fairly fresh with a best by dating of November. 9 months according to the Julian printed below it. 3.46

Breaking into my 3rd awesome trade box from @The-Adjunct-Hippie in the last year. This was awesome! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with wheat, cracker, biscuity malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced bready/grainy wheat creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds and increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Extremely easy drinking. Classic Amarillo hop juicy/vibrancy with some dankness. Balanced malt backbone. Never aggressively bitter or malty either way. Really well balanced NEIPA. 4.1

Great Belgian IPA! Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, and light banana/clove yeast; with moderate honey, toasted bread, light caramel malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops; and yeasty earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus bodied. Balanced bready creaminess and yeast/hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy dryness. No hop astringency. Really easy drinking. A bit maltier than expected for the style. This was really well balanced between the local hops and the house Belgian yeast; nice malt backbone without being too sweet/heavy feeling. Glad I got a 4 pack. No complaints. Really great levels of complexity from yeast and hops. 4

Awesome Baltic porter! Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of coconut, coffee, butterscotch, molasses, dark fruit, and smoke. Light roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; with an awesome creamy/silky mouthfeel. Slight chalky roast, oak tannins, and dryness. Super smooth, zero warmth/barrel booze. Definitely the best of the series yet. Spot on for the Baltic porter style, with perfect integration of the barrels. Will be picking this up again! 4.15

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy light golden yellow body with little to no lacing. Nose of slight tropical fruit with very slight dankness. Taste of very, very slight tropical fruit with citrus pith on the finish. Soft and thin feel and overall, not my favorite Frost IPA offering.

One month and one day past it’s best by date, still pretty good solid Vienna Lager despite the label.

This is one of my favorite songs, discovered it by watch Silver Linings Playbook. Great movie, Jennifer Lawrence is crazy hot, and when she acted crazy even hotter:grimacing:. I like me a crazy woman, tattooed even better, smoker I hear wedding bells. :astonished:

Sure am. Watched my VT Hokies do a number on N Carolina. But it should be nothing to brag about considering N Carolina's record.

Carton's cream ale with miso added, Shunshu. Carton knows how to make a cream ale, especially their regular coffee. This one doesn't disappoint.

I find a lot of that in Sierra Nevada beers, great balance and Narwhal is one of my favorite imperial stouts as I've bought a case the last 3-4 years of its release.

Next up is a wonderful take on an Altbier by a little brewery in the small Nova Scotia village of Lyon’s Brook, near Pictou.

Wasn’t able to make it to the Aston Abbey’s grand opening, will probably head up there tomorrow. Now up Tired Hands Individuation: Ilis, brewed in June 2016, bottled in September 2016 and stored for a year before bottles were sold, tasty stuff, cheers!
