I have lots of great beer to drink tonight, now I just need a few more TVs. Some great college football games and a Game 7 for a trip to the World Series. Cheers BA!

At the Pint Room NOW. One of the most highly regarded tap lists in Columbus. I am drinking the Rackhouse, which required me to pass up BBPt5, Jackie O’s Oro Negro, Founders Sumatra and DKML, Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett, and Southern Tier Maple Sapsquatch just to name a few

Busting a Blue Point here ba. Yeah, I know, inbev-craft but this is still, for me, the brewery that got me into craft the most. This is the bba coconut stout, at a much more reasonable price. 13.99/ compared to 25.00 for their previous barrel releases. The barrel is really on the more subtle side, and the coconut is there but doesn't really impact the brew enough. I would like to fight their new logger guy. 2/2/17 despite being 30 minutes away,

There is no phrase in the beer world more cringe-worthy to me than "our interpretation." Especially when it is applied to classic styles. In this case, however, I give it a pass. Life On Marzen, which until recently was simply called Oktoberfest, is big and beefy with complex malts. Roasted malts, French caramel, bready and doughy, the crests and troughs of toasty goodness and sweet malt relief never ends. A true lager, the mouthfeel is soft and pillowy with moderate carbonation and a wonderful medicinal hop finish with a nip of pepper and alcohol.
A good beer deserves a good song. Cheers, all.

Finally getting around to drinking this beer and it is amazing! I love Flanders Reds and this is great. I bought this at the brewery because @WesMantooth said it was great.

Funny thing I bought three bottles, one for @WesMantooth and sent one to a friend in Maine. I asked him how it was when I seen him over Labor Day, and he said it was fantastic but laughed his ass off I sent it to him without ever trying it. :flushed: I told him I buy a LOT of beer. I figured it would be good and it was an extra so if you didn’t like it, i don’t care. :stuck_out_tongue:

Deschutes Black Butte XXIX, 12.2% ABV, 55 IBU. Pours Black with a two finger tan head. Nose is rum and cocoa, taste follows with moderate bitterness from roast malt, and some pepper burn. Very oaky and dry. Decent mouthfeel, overall very good.

Hello BA's...I hope the weekend is treating you all favorably. The weather in Southern VT is absolutely uncanny and another 27 mile ride is rewarded with some beer...
    Round 1:
Plasma is a Gluten Free DIPA (~9.25% ABV) hopped with Summit and French Aramis. Those who enjoy Brown Shugga' would find some common ground with this. Like most of Element's beers, this is absolutely unique and mashed with gluten-free grains is an impressive testament to the potency, aroma and flavor of this beer. This was canned exactly 3 weeks ago right from the tap (they have a "Crowler" station, but only offers 16oz sized cans...which I like!)

    Round 2:
I'll allow the photo do the talking...

    Round 3:
I haven't had this beer since they first brewed it back in 2013 when they were still packaging all their beers in 16.9oz bottles. Dare I say, this is absolutely as good as I remember...tropical fruits, citrus and floral notes are absolutely intense. I wish Jack's Abby made this a year-round offering and as accessible as some of their other brands:
...just under 4 weeks fresh...simply awesome!

Cheers...may the best team win (by that, I mean the battle b/w New York and Houston)!
