To your point, once your out of there or home have at it. I just am not one to crack a beer in line. If you did the same thing in line for an iPhone it may feel different.

And exactly to my point. This is completely a cultural thing. If you crack a beer in line at 7am in most European countries no one would think anything of it. But in the US we love to demonize things...

I personally don't need to crack open a beer in the morning. It's bad enough to have to wait in line that early for beer.

This is the problem with this country. Too many "I". It's not about you. I 'personally' rather have some coffee at 7am... but if people want to drink beer, I'm not judging, nor would I pass up a hot tick if were to come my way  The issue with line drinking is 100% respecting the breweries. It's can be a headache for them having to keep in line with the law. That's the issue here.

But back on topic, I hope Swish lasts at least a little while, as I'm heading to Goods and won't be in until the early evening. Not worth it to be in line a 6am and then rush up to NewCastle.

We've got a good clip of Big Small World left for today, along with Substance and the Diavoletto drop...

Interesting take, I didn't realize you had the answers to the countries problems. This is a forum for beer where people give their opinions. You like coffee or beer in the morning, I like coffee or orange juice. I'm not judging you for drinking beer that early. Hell, I'm on a beer forum this early at work seeing what other beer news is out there!

I dont have the answers! I just dont agree with the "why do you need to do x and y" attitude. Why not.

I picture you sitting on the hood of a car, wearing a leather jacket, slicking your hair back with a comb that resembles a switchblade. You break those rules Satchboogie. Don't let anyone tell you differently.

That’s nuts, I love swish but damn showing up 5h early? I’m planning to go to the next release I hope it’s not quite as crazy as today.

The back line wrapped all of the way well into the parking lot towards the stage area. At one point the line into the front was back to the railroad tracks. Insanity. When the line compressed I was at the edge of the building out front and was out of there in about 40 minutes so the staff was doing a good job moving people through quickly.

I got in the back line around 9:30, didnt get beer till 12:15. Although the back line was growing pretty slowly after i showed up. I actually got in the front line first, stood there for a few minutes before deciding to go to the back line, the people behind us stayed in the front line, and got their beer a few minutes before we did.

Guess I'm glad we gave swish a pass and just went straight to Mott the Lesser. Got there about 11:30, by 12:30 we were inside.
Wonder if Swish releases will calm down later in the season.

I did the same when i got there - stood in the front for a second, put my chair down and went and checked out back. It wasn't as long but with just 2 stations it doesn't move nearly as fast so I stayed out front. The length of the front line was a bit deceiving because people were spread out. When everybody moved towards the door before they opened I went from being in front of the circus to in front of the distillery.

They will. Towards the last few releases I was showing up after they opened and walking out with cans. I went the Wednesday before Thanksgiving last year, showed up an hour early and was at the corner of the building in the back and out by 11:30.
