What? We were there at 11 and our waitress said it was long gone. Oh well, drained my sorrows w 6 hour tour and tn dessert.

 

I was there at 5 and the bartender had to explain to a few people they had growlers left but it was not on tap, maybe a miscommunication. But Six Hour and Ten Des we're indeed awesome!

 

Darkness 17 available at 5pm 10/23 release at France 44 , 2 bottle limit per.

anyone know the darkness release times for other places? Ive tried a couple and they dont know or are saying late in the week. Didnt they do all Monday last year?

 

It all depends when their regular shipment is for that distributor. Ask which day of the week Surly deliveries usually are and you'll get a more accurate answer.

 

History being a previous indicator, Darkness typically doesn't get delivered with the regular trucks. It's come on Monday for most of the major players. Distributors have gone so far as to use unmarked trucks or other vehicles to discourage truck chasing. Then again, since there seems to be so much of last year's version still on shelves...who knows how this year plays out?

 

Plenty of Darkness 16 on shelves around me if you want to make a 20 min drive north. Darkness is no longer a "truck chaser" beer. BA Darkness on the other hand...

Anyone hear anything about Bells Black Note coming around?

Talked to someone at TW Roseville today and was told they haven't heard they would be getting any and only got a case last year. It has been reported down in Iowa though.

 

Brewery shared the news & invited me to canning day due to my many checkins on Untapped...

Cashwise in Albertville has Darkness. They got 12 cases, as expected, sounds like a lot to go around. $22 a pop, not sure on the limit, but I was able to get 2 as I shop here often.

I would take it for what it is worth as it is coming from an employee who didn't seem to be in the know with craft beer. But they said they were told the recent drop of 2016 bottles were a rebrew. Not sure I believe it, but didn't they do that when they start delivering to Chicago?

 

Or they use unconventional vehicles because they have all hands on deck to deliver to every account in one day...

 

The past few years it has not been delivered to all accounts in one day though. Maybe major accounts or in a certain area, but there are plenty stores that have not gotten it until Tuesday or later in the week.

 

I have no idea what they're talking about either. Several of my stores didn't get it until wed, Thurs, and Friday.
