Bruery 2017 RS/HS Allocations

Really looking forward to the BT party on Tuesday.

 

I enjoy the glass as well, but I'm always afraid to clean it since it's so thin.

 

Ditto! First time attending and I'm stoked! Planning on eating my weight in carbs going into it, already told the girlfriend to call in on Wednesday. Should be a blast

 

Totally let down by SHAKEN. Was wanting a crowler of something but that wasnt it. Even 10yrs has fallen off. So i looked at the shake this stuff. NOPE, not gong to waste money on that stuff either. ZERO take home beer for me.

 

Why wait till Wednesday was pretty righteous. Hey got 2 crowlers.

 

Hope it lasts until Tues. Wouldn't mind picking some up before the BT party.

 

So which beers are you looking forward to at the BT party?

For me its BT 2012, 2017, and Single Barrel BT.

That's not to say I won't be enjoying/sampling the other treatments too.

 

Has anyone gotten a crowler yet? I got 4 yesterday and had an issue with 1. It was leaking and spilled a good amount in my fridge and compressed when I squeezed it. I was worried it would be flat but it seemed properly carbed. I’m not familiar with crowl but it this normal? The other 3 seem perfect, fully pressurized.
I included this info to the Society with my pick up details and they didn’t mention anything so I assume a little leak is ok? That doesn’t seem right, though.

 

doesnt seem right at all. I would drink it immediately (if you havent already). Sounds like a hiccup in the crowlering process. I would expect youll get a free replacement crowler if you mention it

 

Yes, picked up 3 yesterday. Mine are fine.

The two I bought last week shipped and arrived safely.

Bought 3 crowlers last week and all 3 were fine so it sounds like something wasn't right with that one. Let the staff know I'm sure they will make it right if they can.

 

I really enjoyed the previous Shake This incarnations. Did you try either of the new Shake This's? I'm honestly curious what you thought was bad about them.

 

Shaken was interesting, sweet, vanilla, hoppy and sulfurous. I drank two, am going to let the other two mellow for a few weeks. The sweetness/vanilla was the primary taste factor, slightly overpowering. Hoping the perceived sulfur (to me) goes away with some time as well.

 

@BruerJoel sorry, I tried Googling, but can you clarify if the new DC location is open now? If so, what is available? I just got into DC for a vacation and turns out my Airbnb is less than a mile away!

I'm in town for business until Thursday. Will they ship BT to my hotel and if so would it arrive by Thursday morning?

 

I wouldn't risk it... They'd have to get it sent Tuesday for Wednesday delivery, and I'm pretty sure they'll be slammed on Tuesday. Sometimes they ship same day... But sometimes after a sale or big allocation release I've waited over a week for them to process the shipment.

Even though they ship overnight, you'd want to assume an afternoon delivery time, so again would have to be same day.

Lastly, if you did want to risk it, double check with the hotel that they're willing to sign for booze... Some may not be.

So we got an email the other day about a second chance sale for BT... is it already over? Or did it not start yet. I don't see anything under my allocations. @BruerJoel

 

Over, goes to public sale starting today. So likely pulled out of society allocations and will be posted under the regular beer section, my guess would be around 10am.
