37 cases [i think] gone.... 15 of the dogfish extinct also... that's what happens when stores get them in August...

I've had a suspicion that the short season is due to the popularity of pumpkin beers. Just doesn't seem like brewers have committed to keeping pace with demand. I equate pumpkin beer season with pumpkin pie season, so to me they shoould be around til the beginning of December.

I don't mind the very end of August, but it was ridiculous when I heard guys talking about getting them the end of July/beginning of August.

Oktoberfest is August. I'll have Christmas beers soon....This week maybe? If not, in the next week or two I'm sure.

Results of this poll so far are crazy surprising to me. Pumpkin beers are huge in New England (given our millions of pumpkin patches I suppose)... but the shelves are absolutely overflowing with pumpkin beers right now. There is nothing that rolls out in August that you can't buy in October - plenty of everything...

I personally didn't even touch a pumpkin beer until October this year, and I still got my fill. Really surprised things are selling out elsewhere.

The Cleveland market is flooded with ST Pumking, Hoppin Frog Frogs Hollow and BA Frogs Hollow to name a few...

This sentence baffled me. Took me several reads to understand what you meant.

Ditto. I can't tell you how many cases of Pumking I've walked past at various stores. DFH Punkin was here, and went, and it's still not EASY to find, but it's not hard to get if you want it. Haven't really looked for it, since I got my 1 pack I wanted anyways. Weyerbacher and whatnot have their stuff sitting all over the place. I'm ready for it to go already.

Grabbed my threshold and quit.. However, I could drink Bruery's Autumn Maple a bit more frequent.

Miami still has them ALL over. But I was just talking about pumpkin release dates with my buddy the other day. Is it just me, or are pumpkin beers coming out a little earlier each year!?

They are, they have to keep up with the same process the retailers have to. Everything comes out earlier than normal.

I buy, and might imbibe in a few before hand, but I have to have a cool night to want to do so.

There was plenty in Miami last week when I went to visit the folks... I easily picked up Hoppin' Frog's Double Pumpkin, Cigar City's Good Gourd, and Shipyard Smashed Pumpkin to bring back to Texas. Even saw some of that nasty Pumking. Also picked up Weyerbacker's Pumpkin for my mom.

Texas is another story. Pumpkin beers are completely OBLITERATED in Austin. Punkin was gone overnight, riots in the streets over St. Arnold's Pumpkinator, and even Sam Adams' Harvest Pumpkin has dried up (we never saw Fat Jack in Austin, although we got about a case via my girlfriend who travels around state).

Depends on were you live , most seem to get released pre October , hard to find ones seem to get released later in the month , bad one's still on the shelf in most jar stores while most of the good ones are gone , I'm still wating for Elysian's - Dark Of the Moon & Great Pumpkin both a special order here in beautiful BC , for a style of beer that gets its fair share of critism , the "seasonal" Pumpkin Ale is getting harder to find

I hate pumpkin beers, so of course I see them everywhere.

Already out. I saw St. Bernardus Christmas Ale yesterday on shelves.

Here in PA, there are still a ton of pumpkin beers on shelves, including bottles and bottles of Pumking amongst others.

Shouldn't the brewers who waited until the actual pumpkin harvest be sending their's out right about now?

I think your right! Im actually tired of seeing them, I think they take up a whole aisle and all cold bombers seem to be pumpkins!
I think Im the only one waiting for christmas ales to come out...

My local shop just got a boatload in, including more of the Elysians (Great Pumpkin, Dark o' the Moon, Hansel and Gretel, Night Owl) and Schlafly. Most of the other stores have been rid of those for a month, so there is some advantage to a store getting beers late. I'd be happy to send any of these to people who want some pumpkins for Halloween and beyond.

Smuttynose was out at the end of June around here.

Saw a tweet yesterday that I thought was funny - something to the effect that we will be drinking summer beers within the next 6 months.

Denver is bone dry...I went out earlier this week with the sole intention of stocking up on some now that the weather is more suited for them. Guess I waited to long.
