2 pilsners added to the year round line-up...... oh, man that sucks.

So, if I'm hearing you right, some analyst has data showing you guys will sell more seasonals/one-offs with the support of your mainstays. Meaning your regular customers also purchase a majority of the specialties vs some other breweries who might sell them to the people chasing the next flashy object (lots of people on BA).

Regardless, I like picking up a few of your samplers each season and will continue to do so. Sounds like you guys have some cool stuff coming up.

Is Dakota Soul essentially the same recipe as the current Summit Pilsner, but with a different source for the barley used in it?

Just like Summit Dakota Soul, our current Summit Pilsener features Moravian 37 barley from North Dakota. Both are traditional Czech-style pilseners, too. Dakota Soul, however, is a new recipe — a new beer.

Howdy. We're not quoting any analysts or data here — simply saying that customers want all different things, and no single approach is going to please everyone. So, we try to make good beer and make it easy for people to find it. Hope you'll keep picking up our beer!

Overall I like the direction and plans. Not excited to see Unchained go away in bottles. Not all of us live in the Twin Cities. Sure I'll stop in once or twice a year to try but previously I bought them all and numerous times for most. I'm sure yu have your reasons.

Also unless I missed it I see no mention of the Sticke Alt...the main reason I bought Penalty Box this year. Is that one gone for good?

I should note I do really appreciate your presence on these threads and willingness to reply!

(For what its worth I delivered Summit for a local distributor in the summer of 1986 when I was in college. You can probably figure out which distributor that was. Not sure if they still have you or not.)

Buy the amount of Keller Pils I've bought/consumed, I'm VERY aware of that......

We hope you'll find the opportunity to come visit the taproom for an Unchained beer in 2018, and we also appreciate your presence on the threads! We're working hard to keep people talking about Summit, and your longtime support means a lot. All that said, we're not planning on brewing a Sticke Alt next year, but things change. For example: at this time last year, High Sticke was scheduled to be a Doppel Alt. We're excited for 2018 and to have our plans outlined, but there's still room for some surprises.

Summit Intern is working late:sunglasses:. Well maybe the December 2018 surprised beer will be thick holiday spice beer, really thick and heavy but not over spiced. Or I can dream it will be a Imperial Dunkel Double Bock 8 to 11% ABV. this new super bock will be the base for other beers, like adding smoke or barrel aging for the tap room Unchained series. Or turn it into a Ice bock. hey I am a dreamer.

One of my favorite beers, Keller Pils, is now year round and a new Czech Pills!? Christmas came early for the Czech!

RIP True Brit IPA. You were the one that got me into craft beer. I may not revisit you very often anymore, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love you.

I too am looking forward to the return of Dark Infusion as well. Although, kind of disappointed that i have to drive 2 hours to drink it, instead of 2 minutes to the grocery store.

*read that wrong. I'll still be able to buy it at the store. Although I never really got aboard the variety pack train, so probably won't.

Very excited for the boundary waters box! I was a big fan of the Lazy Sipper at the fair this year. This looks like a great go-to box. The entire lineup is exciting. I'm actually quite the fan of the variety packs. Keeps this interesting and easy to try everything Summit has to offer.
