What beer are you drinking now? #1847

Great Gose! Finishing off the 6 pack. Flavors of big juicy/lightly tart watermelon, jolly ranchers, lemon, lime, green apples, berries, and sea salt; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread malts; light lacto funk and yeast earthiness. Touch of herbal hops. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light yeast spiciness, fruit tang, and herbal bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced grainy wheat creaminess and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; light salinity. Lightly increasing tart/tangy dryness, never puckering. Super flavorful and refreshing. Really great balance between the watermelon and fruity/lacto yeast. On the sweeter/less acidic side for the style; but still has adequate tartness. What I really loved about this is the fact that the watermelon flavors didn't have the usual cucumber vibe going on; but it did not feel that artificial either. Grabbed a full 6 pack after I reviewed it. Well rounded example of the style. Definitely might grab another pack if I see more.


Breaking into the 12 days mix pack. Outstanding stuff as usual! Huge aromas of vanilla frosting/cheesecake; with milk chocolate/cocoa/coffee notes in the background. Flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, cream, vanilla frosting, dark bread, and light smoke/herbal hops. Light herbal/roasted bitterness; with a great creamy/silky medium body mouthfeel, with light sticky/chalky roast notes as well. Minimal dryness. The nose is what really shines, as it has the huge vanilla frosting/cheesecake thing going on; flavors are still nice, just more roast oriented with balanced vanilla and lactose notes. This is my favorite variant so far. They put some duplicates in the pack from last year, but there are 7 that are brand new in cans for me to review. Need to add them to the database.


Always excellent IPA, one of my classic favorites. Flavors of bright grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, and pine hops; with light caramel, bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, grassy, spicy bitterness. Smooth, crisp, and sticky hop mouthfeel; with some grainy/creamy malt balance. Drying, lightly resinous finish; no hop astringency. Great Cascade, Centennial, Willamette hop complexity all around. Definitely my most bought Lagunitas beer of all time. Nice mix of vibrant and dank hop notes.


Outstanding NE DIPA! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuity malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very minimal pine, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; awesome bready/grainy wheat creaminess and light hop stickiness in the mouthful. Minimal bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.9%, dangerously drinkable. Pretty refreshing actually. Really awesome juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank hops; balanced malts without feeling overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. Not as hazy as the others in the series, but it still nails it.
