What beer are you drinking now? #1847

If I got fatass checks like those chumps, I wouldn't even sign them anymore. I'd get a stamp so as not to take away from my time throwing money at strippers.

 

Saw that 2017 BA Unearthed was released recently, so decided to break one of my bottles of '16 BA Unearthed out of hibernation.

Doesn't seem like it's calmed down at all, honestly. If anything, it actually seems to drink a little stronger now. Oily, viscous and chewy with strong toffee, caramel and cocoa. Intense spirit flavor... woody oak, bourbon, vanilla... I think I taste more whiskey now than I did a year ago. Hmm. Well, I have another 2016 BA Unearthed left, so I'm gonna go ahead and keep it for 6-8 more months. Perhaps this one takes longer to mellow than others. It still blows me away that this is a Long Trail beer, but I actually think I liked it more when it was fresh.

Gonna see what a few more months does to this one, but if you're on the fence about 2017 BA Unearthed, I will submit my review of how I felt about it fresh and assume it's about the same quality this year.

Been addicted to this album lately. Complex progressive metalcore with djent elements. The drummer, in particular, is insanely talented. Great stuff, and I like the use of traditional Japanese instruments to complement the album concept.

 

Red Dots remind me of chunky girls nipples.

After freezing my ass off all day I had that in mind when I got home. Found that I didn’t have the grilled cheese component. Namely the cheese. I was fully stocked for chili though.

I actually have BA Narwhal rated as o if my highest beers. The cost has distracted me, let’s say. No idea what the howler cost in this case, as I was offered a taste by my beer guys before I really looked at the board and was sold.

Barrel comes through at this point, but still a very solid stout base. Interesting reading @sierranevadabill’s thoughts in the collaboration beer thread (mildly random thought).

Awesome somewhat local beer. Lot of apricot here.

 

I saw you post that beer twice and I thought "Bells Batch 5,000" both times.

 

I have never felt the need to throw money at strippers. (The $10 sleeve of quarters would cause too much damage, anyway.) They are always more than happy to crawl after me for cash.
