The Bruery opening retail store at Union Market in D.C.

How soon will it be if it's definitely going to be on Nov 14th instead of "approx"? I'm planning on ordering one on Oct 24 and flying out to DC the week of Nov 13th but I'm worried that the DC release might get pushed back so I wouldn't be able to pick it up while I'm out there.

 

November 14 is our tentative soft opening date.

 

If November 14th does come to fruition, would all systems be a go in regards to crowlers and stuff that weekend? Thinking about taking a ride down that Saturday 11/18. It would be awesome to visit.

 

That'll be a soft open. Our grand opening is tentatively scheduled for December 1 and we plan to have growler/crowler operations up and running early next year.

 

I'm assuming from the press release you all are doing can releases from Offshoot at the DC location as well. If I got that right, is there an additional cost involved in those cans vs CA pick-up prices?

 

We plan to offer Offshoot cans (and taps for fills) at DC. Retail price will be the same wherever you plan to pick up.

 

Will the Bruery DC location be open on Nov 16th and 17th as well or just Tuesday the 14th?

 

If we're open by Nov. 14, we'll certainly be open on Nov. 16 and 17.

 

@BruerJoel thanks for your assistance in this thread. After some deliberation I went for the Reserve Society '18, and today for 2 bottles of BT.

Hopefully it's filling up for you guys and looking to be a profitable decision.

Any update on whether the grand opening will indeed be this Tuesday (the 14th) or not?

 

Definitely 'no' because it was never going to be the GRAND OPENING, but perhaps a soft opening and at least allow people to snag their BT and get a peek.

On the soft opening front, no idea! There is a Bruery Store DC twitter, I'd keep an eye there for info (though no activity since 11/3). Cheers.

 

Grand Opening is scheduled for December 1. We hope to have a soft opening leading up to that.

True, Joel. I guess I was trying from the East coast first, but Cali would be a lot easier.

 

I ordered my bottle of Black Tuesday and am in DC this week on business before flying back home Friday. Am I now out of luck on getting my bottle??

 

Oh no! It's not going to be available for pickup just yet. We'll be emailing people with an update - we definitely want you to be able to get that bottle!

Since it seems we're still getting radio silence from the Bruery, I'm not too optimistic the soft opening is happening today.
