Forbidden Root (2018)

Yep. I had Liquid Mounds and BB Barleywine from them a few months back. Both excellent. I hear they have some incredible BA beers, but have only got to try the one. So far...

 

This batch of ghost tropic is delicious. The finish doesn’t feel neipa soft but the smell and flavor are juicy as all get out

 

@KrajDoesBeer cans still available? Wife is having to make an unexpected drive up right into your neighborhood today. She enjoys running occasional simple beer missions for me (sometimes). Might ask her to provide liquid payment for having the kids solo for the night last minute...

Nothing earth shattering to say here, but just wanted to chime in that the stout variants were pretty amazing. FR is one of the places my wife and I can go and both have a great time. And Frame and Canvas may be the tastiest, most drinkable NE IPA I've had to date.

 

Saw @KrajDoesBeer at both FoBAB and the binny’s event. Always a pleasure chatting, and really enjoy his positivity and thoughts on other beers being poured. Pretty great to have someone who is making really good beer who is also excited about the other beer being made in Chicago.

 

Been at FOBAB all weekend. Going in later today after i watch some of our beloved Bears... i saved some cans so if someone is in need let me know.

Great seeing a lot of you this weekend. What a fun couple days. I’ll forever be a fan of beer. I hope i never lose the want to try anything and everything.. truly a great time for beer and i honestly think it’s only getting better in this town! Cheers!!

Just a heads up i have plenty of Ghost Tropic for Beer Advocates if ya need some!

Some fun beers coming on tap this week(no IPAs) and Nik or I will come with details soon!

Next release will be Snoochie Boochies. it’s going to be on the Friday after thanksgiving at noon- I’m thinking we will go to being able to just buying them if you are at the bar or table during winter months with our volume being higher as well. We’ll see what works best for FR and guests every release!

Our new Head Brewer starts very soon and we are super excited for him to come on board! Some fun things already planned for his first weeks!

BA Share! How about Monday the 4th?! It’s 3 weeks away and plenty of time for us to all get some fun beers to try! Plenty of stouts coming out especially with BCS!

I have been a little out of the loop recently, has distribution expanded out into the NW burbs recently? I (excitedly) saw some SB cans at a very unlikely place yesterday, hopiung it just wasn't a fluke!

 

Be sure to throw the details up on the new brewer once you are able to post. Interested to hear who it is and where they were previously.

The facebook event for the upcoming Snoochie can release on black Friday. First one I will be missing since they made the switch to the Tony Fitzpatrick cans. I'll miss it due to having to be at work that day as the release is at noon, but hopefully can grab some later on. Always love having Snoochie in the fridge:
