This is just my tin foil hat talking, but since so many more Bourbon County bottles are going to be required at Lincoln Park due to the larger allotments, maybe these will be the consolation prize for there being fewer bottles at Grand.

I'm surprised they didn't call it quadruple barrel. Last year double barrel just had whiskey barrel aged coffee. Triple had whiskey and rum barrels for aging, then BA coffee and BA coconut.

Since so much is being reserved for LP in terms of vintage offerings, they're trying to have some other things available as a draw at Grand.

I’ve thought the same thing. It just seems like they’ll sell out of both of them either way. So, have people make two separate visits where the customer may buy additional items. But, I’m just an idiot who drinks the stuff.

I really enjoyed it. Had it on tap at Epic for their release a few weeks ago. There's a good amount of coconut as it warms.

When I was living down in Texas they were one of the few barrel aged beers we regularly saw so I am quite familiar with them. Honestly, compared to what we have up in Chicago, I'd pass on all of the noirs (with the exception of maybe coffee), can't speak for Bourbon Paradise but Pirate Paradise is the only one I'd seek out nowadays.

For pricing, I'm pretty sure these run like $11ish/12oz bottles, so ~$22-25 if they were bombers.

what's going on with Binny's Grand? Are they holding all stouts for black fri? No Black Note, Hazels, Baptista or Triple Barrel, Abraxas

Yes. It was mentioned in a few posts earlier on this page - they're releasing a ton of stouts in conjunction with BCBS since Binny's vintage BCBS is going to be mostly reserved for LP.

Best yet, unquestionably. We’ve never had so many of these beers at the same time and in other cases, not at all. This year will be the gold standard, at least for one year

Agreed on the Noirs. I'd probably grab coffee and Pirate this time. For me it goes Coffee > Pirate > Vanilla > Noir. Caveat to that. Drink the coffee version fresh. I had it right away, then drank my other a week ago. Age had done it no favors. Never had Pirate Paradise. Hoping to get the bourbon paradise.

So I just stopped by binnys-grand and it looks like they're selling the stouts that they were going to hold back for Black Friday. Not sure exactly what happens but I was told management decided to not hold stuff until Black Friday. The beer guy there said it was a miscommunication.

Thanks for the info, that helps. I think it's more of a curiosity than anything. And with a lot of other good offerings, it doesn't seem like something I'm going to hunt for.

Members will get first shot at it. Then they should open it up for everyone.
