Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Last year's batch was contract brewed at Hailstorm, if memory serves.

 

Damn, just dropped $60 on them. They better be excellent this year.

 

Last year they poured both and had a lot of extra bottles for purchase. they also poured Kentuckley for a while. I want to say all the pours last year were straight from bottles, anyone remember?

 

I want to say Kentuckley was bottles and the nectar was draft, can't quite remember though.

 

Transient could not legally sell any beer in Illinois until recently. So any of their beer sold here was contract/gypsy brewed. Last years Nectar was brewed at Hailstorm. He has also done other beers there and was doing some at Aquanaut for the Illinois members when bottles were included with membership, but he could not sell them his Michigan brews.

This years will be from Transients brewery in Michigan I'm pretty sure.

 

Over $12 in tax? At the risk of being pedantic, it's $58 before tax.

 

There's also the drive all the way out to Glen Ellyn gas & time tax.

 

Just stopped by Binnys on Grand during lunch break. They have 2 Abraxas left and a whole lotta BA Ten Fidy, and Trip Big Bad. They also have a few cases of Black Note, Limit 1 4pk PP. Cheers!!

 

Just stopped by Oakbrook Binny's and they have BA 10 Five O, ask for it

 

Binnys Bloomingdale has Triple Barrel Baptist and Big Big Baptist sitting on the shelf.

 

Binnys Bolingbrook has BA 1050 as well. 2pp. Had to ask for it.

Also Baptista and Triple Baptist

 

Binny's Evergreen Park Has Big Bad Baptist, Big Bad Baptista, Triple Baptist, BA 1050, and Hazel's Nuts on shelves.

And Abraxas, BA Ten Fidy, and BA Cocoa Coconut Narwhal in back. I'd assume Abraxas is gone at this point though.

Binnys Mokena had BA Coco Narwhal, Orin, and regular Baptist on the shelf.

I picked up a Triple Barrel and a Baptista. Someone else picked up some Hazel's. I was also told they have BA 1050. All of those are in the back or were when I was there earlier today. I didn't ask about Abraxas as I have been hemorrhaging money the past couple of weeks.
