That is good to hear. I looked quickly at 2 packs at the store I bought it from and didn't see it. Luckily I knew it was fresh, so I just bought it. I will have to check again to make sure I didn't miss it.

I went at about 630-7 last night to Top Ten SLP and had no issue getting from 100 to excelsior or vice versa. Don't know what everyone's complaining about unless they are going during rush hour traffic and blaming the area for the timing of their trip. Either way figured I would let everyone know they had a well stocked selection of stuff that isn't usually hanging around.

 

Looking for a replacement pumpkin beer to keep a turkey-smoking tradition alive - wondering if anyone has seen a bottle of Headless Heron hanging around somewhere in the East Metro (yes, I know they discontinued this but recall seeing some bottles scattered around in the past couple of months...). In the past, TH held back some Petunia's Pumpkin and then released some growlers this week. Doesn't seem like it is happening this year and would like a tasty replacement...

 

Not East Metro, but South Lyndale Liquors shows 'Headless Heron' in stock (bomber bottle). Try Heritage Liquor, http://www.heritageliquoronline.com/. They will find the beer if not in stock, or will suggest an alternative.

 

Town Hall did post that they had some Petunia this week. Not sure if any is left.

We picked up a bottle of Headless Heron about a month ago at Chicone's in Hudson. They probably had about a dozen left. Not sure if you consider that "East Metro" or not.

Thanks for the replies gents - funny, I called Town Hall both Monday and Tuesday and got "I'm not sure, the brewer's just surprise us with what they fill" and "no, we're out." Disappointing.

I saw a metric ton of it at the Eagan Total Wine when I was up there a couple weeks back....may still be worth a shot...

 

Every time I open the fridge the last can is there to stare at me. I can't take this much longer. It's either going to be shotgunned (aka sipped delicately) or claimed by Friday. This is on you mnphish.

 

Just an update for the pumpkin lovers out there...Headless Heron AND BBA Whole Hog at Chicone's as well as fresh Zombie Dust (4 cases as of 11 am). Plenty of other 3F beers and a couple of cases of BBA Stone RIS (Small batch) which I didn't get into.

 

Don't forget Abraxas was there too.....

That is awfully nice of you to ask. Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. It’s all you though, not that important too me. Maybe thery will brew another batch and I can score some next time.

 

Anywhere in/around the cities still have coffee BCBS (or other variants)? Never had coffee before and would love to try a bottle if there's any still lingering by chance. Pm me if you have any info. Wasn't able to get out and hunt for anything yesterday unfortunately.

 

You might stumble on a variant, but fairly unlikely. If u really just want to try it check out Stanley's in NE Mpls, I wouldn't be surprised if they still had it on tap.

 

Seconded. The barleywine this year is my favorite of several years.

You might also try Ray J's NE - they had several years of regular BCBS, and 14 and 17 Coffee. It was pretty quiet in there yesterday - I'm betting all of the above are still available.

 

MG Costco has a ton of Rum King.
