I was right about to post that hahaha sorta confused by the knob creek selection one. I thought that was reserve? Guess I’ll be running around Lexington trying to get a couple reserves as gifts for friends

I think the Knob Creek on the right column is an actual bourbon bottle. The reserve is the beer.

I think the Knob Creek Selection is a Bourbon.

Any other BCBS releases around Lexington that day that people know about? Friend and I are coming down for Snake Cake and I'd like to get a couple BCBS as well. Looks like I'll be lucky to get 1 based on the Liquor Barn info.

Pazzo's, Trappe, and Village Idiot (and Bear & Butcher) are all owned by the same family.

The problem with Trappe is while the employees are all very cool, the owner hates beer nerds who run in to get the new releases and is generally as unfriendly and unhelpful as I've ever seen, and they still are the only place to get the most sought-after releases in town. So I've basically stopped chasing anything special in this town. Better to spend it at the local breweries, IMO.

If it’s like KBS, expect to run to all the liquor barns and calling the other liquor stores. That’s my plan atleast. Haven’t heard from shenanigans or the beer trappe about their allotments. Weird that no coffee is coming to Lexington from all reports.

All of the reasons stated above. I believe there is a growing number of people with this opinion too.

I didn't want to quote all of this as fact, but it's exactly what I've heard. It sucks too because it could be an awesome spot, oh well, screw 'em.

How’s the NE IPAs at mirror twin lately? I’m back in town for thanksgiving and was gonna stop by but was just curious.

They’re, umm, hazy? I think the low beam at W6 is much more representative of the style and better than the MT iterations.

Have to agree. I think MT is a low tier brewery in Lexington. Ethereal, west sixth and country boy all make better beers.

The new one on right now is among the best they've produced.

At West sixth right now, low beam is real astringent, it lingers on th tongue. Not good. Headed to CBB then mirror twin next.

Yeah I haven’t had low beam and actually thought of it as a New England, more just a hoppy decent ipa

As far as the beer trappe stuff goes I can’t exactly disagree but I definitely don’t consider it a bad spot. I’ve never actually been in when the owner was there but I’ve also heard that he’s offstandish and shouldn’t have much more to do with it than just owning it.

As far as bourbon county goes I think they said they were only expecting a case or so because they don’t carry most inBev beers and therefore AB doesn’t feel the need to help them out

Anybody have any idea on bottle counts for Snake Cake? Looking like I won't be able to get to Lexington until noon, don't want to miss out.

Hope to see some BAs out there tomorrow. Going to be hitting all the liquor barns before heading over for 2 bottles of snake cake, ending at ethereal for some great beer. Everyone have a safe time tomorrow.

Not to over post but ethereal on Facebook said rye barrel aged tzar and dark and raspy will be releasing bottle versions during their anniversary. I didn’t see anyone post anything about so here you go!
