They've bought hops from Comrade and been wanting to get yeast sometime within the next week and a half. I'm assuming it'll be at least 3 weeks to get 1 beer on tap.

Walked by the other day and still looked like they were doing interior construction. Doubt they are able to open before the end of the year.

Also stopped by Woods Boss and enjoyed it. Big space, large taplist that was mostly all solid. I still don't understand or like saying 'Woods Boss' out loud.

Whenever I say or read "Woods Boss" I imagine a clothing line of overpriced camouflage overalls targeting southerners with too much money.

Hope there's no trademark dustups with this Woods Boss.... http://www.woodsboss.com/

Seriously though, I enjoyed the beers I had there.

Has anyone been to Mash Lab yet?
Guy from work just told me bout it so I looked it up... the taplist looks great on the surface, enough for me to stop in!

What in the world is a "Munich Ale" ? That's a borderline oxymoron.

I'm assuming it might just be an ale using Munich malt...but that's one of those things a brewer (or their marketing folks) should know better about :stuck_out_tongue:

i walk by there a lot. There has been beer actively fermenting in at least 2 of the 3 fermenters in the left front window for awhile, I want to say since Thanksgiving weekend maybe? Maybe they've even done 2-3 beers per fermenter already.

Are there serving/conditioning tanks in the walk-in, or did Deep Draft keg everything off the unis? There were about 40-50 Deep Draft kegs in the right front window, the other morning, looking like maybe somebody was getting ready to keg.

Anybody been to Thirsty Monk yet? Thoughts, good, bad or otherwise?

Popped in this weekend and had a few tasters. Wit, Tripels, and Belgian Table Beer all solid. Didn't care much for the cherry gose. Look forward to returning as it is a massive upgrade from previous tenant. Best line from the bartender who also worked at previous tenant was 'I noticed that people weren't leaving after ordering now'

Looks like Long Table is opening on Saturday. Excited to have another neighborhood spot.

Had a “Belgian Amber” and a “Farmhouse IPA” on Saturday afternoon. Both were solid. Detected no brett in the “Farnhouse IPA” —I would call it simply a “Belgian IPA,” but it was still well-made and very nice, as was the Amber,

There were more people in there than I’ve ever seen, and I visited the old place 5-6 times, particularly when it was for sale...

With Caution (RIP, I liked them) now closing, do we need a thread for brewery closures?

That would be informative....but also a bit depressing. I like the idea of individual threads with the announcement of a closing but allowing that thread to recede into the abyss shortly thereafter. A special thread will likely stick around for a while and become a collection of failed endeavours/things that were.
