BA victory was at wheeling binnys Friday. I didn’t see (or look for) the others

That was probably my buddy at the other table. He text me and said they had just tapped it. Any idea if this kicked? I was thinking of going over there for lunch.

True story: just saw a guy pay for an adjunct stout in change. We’ve reached Peak Stout Season

I just wanted to say that between Half Acre's increased production of BA and Vanilla Big Hugs, the (typical now) excess of BCBS (regular) on shelves, the fact that you could pick CBS up at a grocery or drugstore, and last but not least, Revolution really bringing their A game on canned BA stouts, this is looking to be the best year (or "stout season," of course) yet!

Also, anyone checked out the new Moody Tongue stouts? I'm thinking of picking up a 4-pack of the cake one whenever it hits local places.

BA Victory Sea, being a porter not stout, is pretty damn great. 4-pack for $17, really enjoyed this one.

I had the BA 12 Layer Cake at FOBAB and found it extremely hot. Wasn't a fan at all. I really enjoy their churro porter, so was quite disappointed.

I found the Gingerbread one to be very very sweet at FoBAB.

I had the 12 layer cake last week at room temp. It was boozy and a little thin, but I thought it was pretty good. I’m no expert though.

It was selling as singles though and was $8 a bottle, so I didn’t want too many

I had it last night and found it to be a bit too vanilla forward for my taste (which can be sensitive to vanilla). A nice level of the rye flavor, though. I enjoyed it, but won't be seeking out anymore, due to all other options around now for BA stouts (or porters, in this case).

Hmm...I don't mind hot as long as the flavor is still good (doesn't sound like you think it was, though).
I actually really like pretty sweet stouts. If the flavor is good, maybe I look out for this.

For me, the flavor was completely overwhelmed by the heat (and it was the first pour I had that night).

BA Big Hugs, CBS and Cafe Deth/Deth's Tar just hit Capone's, looks like. Good day to swing by for those of you who are in need.
