Alright, I am not the most knowledgeable beerman. What is the difference between a 15% porter and a stout? It's not particularly thin either.

 

Has anyone heard anything about Prairie BA beers (Bourbon Paradise, Noir series) hitting soon? I know Bourbon Paradise has been hitting other states, and I thought the Noir beers hit around this time last year as well...but maybe it was more into the new year.

I have no expectation this beer will be any better than the range of similar beers like Dino Smores, S'more Money S'more Problems, etc. I just love Marz' style when it comes to naming their beers.

 

Has anybody tried the Moody Tongue BA bottles? One is BA 12 Layer Chocolate Cake, and the other is BA Graham Cracker Stout.

Granted, they're $34.99 for a 4-pack at Binny's, but the location by me was selling single bottles.

 

I asked the binny’s LP folks a few days ago, and got a solid -\_o_/- ...or however the kids communicate “shrug” these days. They had no timeline or estimate.

I think you mean Gingerbread? I liked them both but preferred the gingerbread, something about the BA as well as that flavor went really well together. I paid $30 at the tap room for each 4 pack which initially felt high but then thinking more 48oz of BA beer for $30 is a much better deal than the $18-22 most BA bombers cost and it's a lot more doable drinking a 12oz bottle.

 

Um, there is no Binny's in Deerfield. You must mean HP.

 

Were you able to detect all 12 layers in the cake stout?

 

From what I recall -- Prairie announced BA Bible Belt around the first week of Jan and it hit Binny's a week later. Can't remember the rest of them.

 

That cake is good as shit; no way that'd translate to one beer.

 

Yep, I 100% meant Gingerbread. It's getting really good reviews on Untappd, I'm pretty excited to pop open the single bottle I purchased. I can't decide if it being good enough for me to justify paying the price for the 4-pack is a good thing or not....

 

I just checked my inventory/purchase history, and I bought BA Bomb, Coffee Noir, Vanilla Noir and a Pirate one on December 15th last year. I'm hoping something good is around the corner, as I really enjoyed those.
