They have always cost s buck or two more at the brewery when I've been there the past few years.

Correct. Sue has been $12 a 4-pack at the taproom since the first truck from Florida. So people are actually complaining about having much better beer available for the same price without knowing it.

That's one way to combat people not buying a 4pack because of a 4 month old can/box date.

Mostly just thought it was odd that they do that pricing on the four packs at the brewey, but the bombers tend to be cheaper there compared to distro, at least in my experience.

I would buy multiple 4 packs at $7.99, I thought this batch was great.

Mike just said on Twitter they don’t have printer working yet. Said batches going out now were canned last week.

It's 13%, right? Iowa allows for a maximum of 15%.

Good deal. I thought I had read they were going to have a printer...hopefully folks were able to pick up on sarcasm of selling old Florida product.

Correct. Their bombers are always cheaper at the taproom. They aren't concerned with underselling their local market for those. New Glarus does something similar, but I think they overprice all their distro beer at the depot, not just the heavily distroed stuff like TG.

BA and Untappd both list Bourbon Paradise at 15.9%. Maybe they'll do what Avery does and drop the ABV to exactly 15% (e.g. Rumpkin)

Picked a 4 pack up in Waukee for $9.99. Overall, it’s wayyyyy better than the stuff from FL.. I still think there is a little difference; however, it’s a lot more jucier and hazy than the FL stuff!! Good price point, I will be a regular.

Belated thanks... ended up grabbing the last two six-packs at Whole Foods in West DSM. As you suggested, every HyVee in the metro was out.

    It's yeast/hop matter. It's normal in beer.

Any Decorah Sue spotted around QC?

"normal" might be overstating it a bit

Drank some side by side with Barrel Theory's Citra this weekend, and you could really see the difference between a uniformly cloudy beer (BT Citra) and the Decorah Sue, with yeast/hop matter suspended in it. Like you said, it's normal

FWIW, I thought the Sue cans weren't dramatically better than Florida Sue. I like Florida Sue a lot more than most though. It's worth the price (especially if you're getting it for $7.99), but it doesn't seem like what you get on tap in Decorah to me.

The first can I had, I really enjoyed and thought there was a major difference. I had one last night and it tasted like they slipped a Florida can in. Was not pleasant. I'm sure it'll take a few batches for Mike to hone in on how he likes Sue.
