More Brewing Co. (StB) - (2018)

Didn’t hear about cans but saw them filling what I think were HH barrels on Friday.

 

Saw this on instagram, so it's happening. Just don't know when.

 

I'll probably be there, and since it's 90's themed I'll probably be in a Shawn kemp sonics jersey.

 

That’s actually a pretty good idea. I have an old Dennis Rodman #91 Bulls jersey I could wear... although it definitely doesn’t fit me like it used to.

 

If they wanted to make this NYE truly an authentic 90's theme, they should have 4 beers on tap: bud heavy, bud light, miller lite, and the crazy "craft alternative" guinness. that would be boldly ironic.

 

Maybe serve a Chardonnay with a black fly floating in it?

 

Or serve a really thick steak with 10,000 spoons.

 

I was there yesterday afternoon . There were 20 to 25 people. The service was great.My beers and food were delivered quickly. I saw the cans behind the bar,but did not ask about them.

 

Were they white with yellow writing (DDH Dusty)?

Much thanks. I suspected as much that those were released, but I never saw an announcement.

 

I called because I was curious. No cans available right now. I asked if they are expecting a can release soon and the girl on the phone said "probably tomorrow but not 100% sure yet."

 

I was going to guess it was going to be tomorrow but I wouldn't have been surprised if they silently sold them earlier to let some of the locals snap them up before people from far and wide grab 'em. I'll be headed there tomorrow with a friend for lunch and hopefully they will have some for sale at that time.

 

My buddy is up there for lunch today and asked about a can release and was told by the bartender she had no idea what he was taking about. She knew of no plans for a release. Very odd since someone said they saw the cans yesterday??

 

I was there Wednesday and the bartender mentioned they were expecting a release Friday

 

The only issue I've ever had with More, is the lack of communication between owners and employees. It seems that every person who works there has different information about every beer release they have.

 

Not a thread I usually follow much, but may be meeting some friends at More for lunch and a few drinks on Tuesday Dec 26th as it's sort of a half way point. Is there any release or something special happening that day should make us avoid there, or is it business as usual that day? TYIA!

Hey, thanks for assuming the worst. I really appreciate that. So let me extrapolate some more because I'm not just some lazy schmuck posting on here.

Before I posted, I actually quickly scanned the last few pages of this thread and didn't see anything. I went to their website and the only event posted is the NYE one. I went to FB and Twatter, but I don't have accounts there so I'm pretty sure I don't see everything I'd like to, but saw nothing there too. So there was some effort, and maybe I'm missing something, so wanted to double check here with folks that know More well. I don't want to inadvertently bring my wife and friends to some neckbeard shit show when we just want to catch up and have a few beers and some lunch.

And yes, by this point I could've just called and spent less time. So I just did. They are open on the 26th (info I couldn't find on any of their pages) and according to the nice woman I spoke too, there are no major releases that day. Although she seemed very unsure about this and somewhat confused. She actually asked me if there was some big release on the 26th that I was calling about. I told her that's why I was calling them. She said, "Not that I'm aware of..." with an unsure voice. Hopefully this is helpful to someone besides me. If anyone has different intel, I'd love to hear it.
