Back from the Christmas markets, pizza in the oven, and the Steel Reserve of Europe in my mug:

Earlier we drank hot chocolates (mine was the tall Tipsy Marie Antonette - that was not my pour @Lingenbrau !) in a little shop across from the main square:

Then we watched the band play some Christmas tunes before more sightseeing/shopping:

    Cheers from Basel!

Every beer from the bohemian fruit review series has been good to great. They release a few different ones a year and I definitely look forward to them. Their sours are very good, I drink a ton of the un fruited Berliner, beatnik sour, which is cheap, super refreshing, in cans and available everywhere.

Stone Hop Revolver. Single hop Simcoe ipa. It's good and fruity with some bitterness. Drinks smooth and hides 7.7% nicely. better than expected. I like it better than ruination.

I've been saving one of these in my cellar. Any ideas how the flavor profile differs between a fresh vs aged version? As an Old Ale it should benefit from some cellaring, right?

Hel & Verdoemenis Hazelnut from De Molen. An Imperial Stout with a lot of hazelnut in it. Works great, when you like hazelnut that is  I really like the nuts in this beer.

Thanks @Beersnake1 for mentioning this one earlier this week ! Never heard of it before. And it’s easily overlooked in the shop.

Picked up this one at the brewery’s shop today, together with some others.

    Cheers all!

It got down to about 35 in San Diego last night. Coldest I've been in a while. Earthquake weather.
