Is this likely to last until Saturday?

@AutumnBeerLove has said this in the past (@NiceBeerCans has it in the main post) that all can/bottle are released with the intention of lasting "into, if not through Saturday."

As for the lower limits, I'm sure it's to make sure everyone has a chance to buy some...?

Probably a lesson learned from Aaron. Better to set a limit that has beer lasting into the second week than start with a limit that won't get there and have to drop it, which just creates a FOMO feedback loop. And ski season is here, of course.

Also hope it means we'll see BG&E lasting in the tasting room for a while. Probably my favorite non-DBD HF stout.

What happened with Aaron? I'm pretty sure batch two was like 2pp at release. I guess the recent one had much higher limits?

Yes. Opened at 6 pp, then dropped to 4 pp. Not sure if it dropped again after that.

Is lower limits just going to be the new norm? Dropping limits as the week goes on is what many of us long time patrons are just accustomed to.

That’s been the exception, not the norm, for releases since the tasting room opened. I think you can count the releases that dropped the limit between Wednesday and Friday on one hand.

yes, but it is also dependent on batch size.

So if the next release is a limit of 6, will you post: Are* higher limits just going to be the new norm?

    Every beer is different.

I have a weekend without the wife and kids coming up, and I'm starting to consider a trip up Saturday. That's obviously a few days from now and things can change, but how are the roads around the brewery now?

Anyone know the bottle price for on-site Art and CD Plum? Also, do both 375 ml bottles need to be shared?

    Cheers

375's can usually be purchased solo. In my experience. This may be different if it was a higher ABV brew.

The new Citra is stellar. Had several pours over New Years in Waterbury and I was very impressed. Also heard rumors that Hill has been sourcing exclusive high quality hop contracts in order to keep their single hop beers up to their standards.

There's going to be a warm streak and a big melt these next few days, so probably very slushy and muddy. You're going to want a car that can handle it.

Same with the Mosaic. It's one of the best Mosaic beers I've ever had. Soft, juicy, and complex, with all the classic aromas and flavors intensified.

So crowds were pretty big (relatively) at open today, so much so that I passed up the taproom for the first time ever (had to quickly get over to the Alchemist). Ski season is definitely affecting the crowds, as is Beyond Good and Evil (maybe half the size of the crowds during the Aaron release give orctake). For bottles/cans alone, I was in and out in 30–40ish. Can't say it enough—staff is stellar.

@ziegbird, roads were good today, but Saturday is tough, because there's potential for the slushy mix to turn to snow depending on how cold it gets.

@wasatchback I had Mosaic today and really enjoyed it. Didn't really have any expectations going into it, but I'm happy I grabbed a six pack.

My friend Art actually drove out to Vermont from Akron, Ohio for the occasion. Finally got that tick! Normally drinks an Arthur on his birthday--tried to convince them to let him take an actual Art home, I'm sure :stuck_out_tongue:
