I would agree that doing Spiral Architect green/blue and Space Coyote orange/pink/etc can be confusing. I don't automatically remember what hops pair with what colors. What I do know is I like every single formulation of those two beers.

I think for coffee Void they put a sticker on top of the four pack holders, but of course that becomes useless once the cans are broken up from the four pack.

Yeah exactly I love their beers, don't get me wrong. I was just wondering if anyone else had similar thoughts. Although one of the posts above made a lot of sense. Hey, I keep CW continues to do their thing!

I'd love to see the canning of another stout for the holidays

No Hope for the Kids is coming back this weekend along with a new IPA called Velicorapture, if all goes as planned.

No Hope was sooooo good. A big favorite around Thanksgiving from my family/friends.

Wasn't a big fan of No Hope but looking forward to trying the new one. Was hoping we'd see either double galaxy or blue label spiral this week, those are the beers that have really popped for me since they hired the new brewer.

What's the deal with Wizard Fight? Temporary hiatus?

    I could use some.

Velocirapture is quite good. Double Galaxy for me still. No Hope is good but wasn't raving about it. The Maple BBA Ceno was quite delicious. Hope they have some left in the barrels to bottle.

Picked up some Headway dated 12/21 on wed., drinking a couple tonight. Absolutely off the hook delicious. Seems like they love to play around with Headway. Definitely have had a few different versions.

Play as you must but please dial in. I understand "growing pains" even for a seasoned veteran. However, ok at the worst and nearing the "upperest" of echelons at best.

Couldn't agree more, had it right after the first canning run hit stores and it was ridiculously good, had it again a couple times after that and it wasn't even remotely the same beer. Haven't had it since, but maybe it's time to revisit.

I gotta say though, I'm not complaining as 95% of the Headway I've consumed has been tasty. Let them toy with it, I don't care. Plenty of trust in the brewing skills of the Counterweight clan.

    Cheers

I honestly don't think it's about dialing in at this point. Maybe they are just using this Headway avenue to play around a bit. Sells regardless.

Seems weird that they'd use their flagship IPA to play around with. But yeah, you don't always know what you're getting with Headway, but as already said, it's at least always good and mostly really good. It's turning into my go-to beer lately.

Had to ask for my money back for the mug club. Finally got to use it today after visiting three times since I signed up where either I was told they were too busy to get them or that it’d be a wait till Krystle was free to get it.

So finally got my mug in hand (was painfully obvious the red headed bartender absolutely HATED having to go up and get this thing, as evidenced by me thanking him for getting it and his response “it’s fine”). Ask for a Wizard Fight and am told that their DIPA’s aren’t part of the mug club.

Feel like it’s pretty scummy to not mention this when announcing the club and its benefits, especially since this was right after the double galaxy and blue label spiral stairs releases, which were the first beers they made I thought competed with the big boys of the scene and are what compelled me, and I’m sure others, to join (a level which I haven’t thought they hit again since then, which definitely makes it easier to leave).

Their pours are more expensive per ounce than Tree House and I thought this would be a way to make them more reasonable, coupled with the extremely vague additional benefits they promised. Now I look at it as a cash grab tomake a couple g’s before Christmas. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth considering it’s such an obvious thing that should have been disclosed, especially since a huge portion of what they brew are DIPA’s.

    Wow, that’s really unfortunate.

I’m not a member but I can comment on the customer service - of my dozen or so visits, the staff always seem to be inconvenienced by my purchases. Not a deal breaker as CW is my current #1 in CT but positive customer service is incredibly important these days (and in such a competitive industry with a fickle fan base).

This post was brought to our attention, and we wanted to take the time to respond to your experience at CW. We take nothing more seriously than the customer experience. We aren't CW without happy customers. Its why we designed our tap rooms the way we did, hired the people we hired, and always meet to discuss non-stop improvements. Our goal with the mug club was to build our local community. We set what we consider to be a very low price, and we felt that we had done our best to verbally communicate that larger beers were not available for 20 oz pours. We thought that serving 20 oz of beers over 7% was not the responsible thing to do. Based on your experience we did not communicate this well enough. Now that this has been brought to our attention we will honor these pours. Thank-you for your understanding and we look forward to serving you better in the future.

I've never had bad customer service. Always get a lot of smiles when I go up. Who knows.

That is unfortunate about the mug club and lack of information. And that's crazy that it could ever be too busy for you to use them. What's the point then? Maybe the only misstep they've had since opening. Glad you got refunded, though!
