Right, it's your opinion. More is tiny. If it continues to grow, he could easily have a stout regularly available.

Wow if that's true they have a pretty incredible amount of capital for a brewery open 6 months, right? I defer to others on the business of beer but that seems like a very aggressive move for a new brewery

I didn't attend the Ardmore bcbs release this year, but my friends that went send that's what sonny and perry said. I tried confirming this with some of my brewery friends, and they believe this is what they are doing.

    That's all I've heard

Sounds like something so vague and second hand that they could just have meant they want to build a production facility in the next 5 years. But if you guys think so, I’ll bank on More Brewing shelf-turds by late 2018!!!!

Well, they are backed by Ardmore Station money. Quite possible they are accelerating plans. Still seems unlikely but the capital generated by the brewpub is not all the capital.

Yeah a brewery that's been open for 6 months would definitely not have produced enough capital to open a larger facility. But like you said they have the two ardmore's, which have been in villa park as long as I can remember.

I can understand the skeptsim from my he said/she said rumors I posted , but I'll ask sonny or perry next time I run into them.

Take a look at the brewpub itself. There's a TON of money they invested in it. Look at the detail in the custom metal logo stamped chairs and barstools. I'd bet they spent $15k on seating alone.

The brewery probably isn't cleaning up at scale yet, but they certainly have access to capital. I wouldn't think More needs to conform with our typical expectations of brewery growth and expansion.

This may have zero to do this rumor but I was there about 5-6 weeks ago and Shaun and one of the owners were sitting at a table with a guy going over some sort of blueprints.

More posted Shaun on a podcast and he did state More has a high priority of finding a production facility. The pod was from Halloween so pretty dated by now but he said a production facility was one of the first things they discussed when they opened the brew pub.

Well, perhaps the production facility is on the front burner since the recent issues they’ve had with their canning line, particularly since that October podcast.

The demand for their beers is extremely high. No reason they couldn't be selling 10x the amount they do now.

They seem to have quite a bit of equipment in their current facility but they don’t seem to be actually brewing much beer a all. I don’t get it.

Yea I find this strange too, there is always limited taps and the bottle/can releases are always few and far between as well.

Limited taps is my main issue with MoRE. I would like to see 7-8 of their beers on draft at all times. I think once they have their own canning line up and running, they should be more consistent with offering to-go cans. But why so limited on taps, I don't understand. I was there a couple of times when there was only 3 offerings!

Was there last weekend and this was my pet peeve with the place. They had Dusty, Falling Colors and a Falling Colors variant. Dusty was solid, but those Falling Colors just don't do it for me. With so many tanks in the brewpub, where is all the beer?

Chicken-egg issue though. Do you need to dial in recipes and solve logistical issues (like the recent canning carbonation problems) before scaling up? Or does scaling up into a bigger space help you solve those problems? I don't know the answer to that. What I do feel is that the hoppy beers aren't where they need to get to consistently yet

There’s a 140 seat restaurant that is busy a lot of the time. That’s a lot of people drinking beer. Most breweries I visit don’t have huge crowds consuming their beer outside of large release days.
