Fair enough explanations. Tanks being tied up for whatever reason has to be frustrating.

It’s good to see More acknowledge the concerns of its fans. A new production facility sounds like it should help things moving forward.

 

Love the transparency, communication, and especially the ambition, but is filling barrels the best use of time and product for a new brewery.

In 6-12 months, it will be a moot point, and no one will care once the next great white hype is realesed, but it just seems like the primary focus should be on having product available, instead of stashing it away for a year.

Either way, I’m very excited for the future. Less so the present.

 

I think this would be true of most new breweries, but just not this one. Note how Shaun said that we are trying to make everyone happy while also trying to grow our business.

We've discussed on here Mikerphone & other new breweries that may be making decisions that don't make the most business sense. I think More is an example of the opposite. It's clear to me the owners have a strong business sense & also are willing to invest capital in the brewery (and human resources with a top end brewer) to make it a success.

My guess is that they looked at the margins & hype that BA beer creates & decided it did make economic sense for them to invest early in having big ticket/big hype beers coming through the pipeline & supplement onsite with guest taps.

 

Yeh have to second this. Appreciated for sure.

 

You need to harness the power of the beer community. Next time post the number to the manufacturer. After getting flooded with thousands of angry "when will you have this ready so we can buy More beer" calls, the manufacturer would have had this fixed and back within days.

Eager to hear where "further" west suburbs will be. I am assuming it has to be past Lombard and Glen Ellyn, can't see him using "further" if it was just one or two towns over. Wheaton\West Chicago\Geneva area? There is a ton of space out that way.

 

Haha don't tease me about More coming out to Geneva/St. Charles/Batavia. My wallet can't afford that!

selfishly I hope it's not too far off I88. if it's a big facility that they are looking to get a lot of foot traffic through as a taproom / production facility combo would hope it won't be too far off the beaten path....

Very cool update. Glad to hear things are moving in a positive direction, both for the brewery and us who enjoy the beers.

So, in the interest of being fair, I broke into the 2nd 4-pack of both mozzie and ddhdddddd and found that both of these 4 packs have a bit more carbonation. Even where the previous cans felt a bit empty and had a little give, these felt a bit more firm. Once again, a pretty aggressive pour, but the head was present and stuck around a bit.

 

Had lunch at MORE yesterday with some friends. Service was phenomenal, Loose Candies is as great as ever, and that Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich is delicious. All the food was really good.

 

Anyone have insight on the next Henna release? I'm feeling this upcoming weekend or the next.
