Mostly lambics this year as I'm trying to work my way through a lot of big stouts and quads I tucked away two years ago. Plus, it seems my stomach can't handle the acidity like it used to and I drink these really slowly nowadays. A couple each of Fou, Nath, RdG, and Gueuze from Cantillon to add to my 2016s and 2015s (minus Nath of course). Also a couple Armand & Gaston from 3 Fonteinen.

The years can be hit or miss on how they hold up, especially if you don't know how they've been stored. I have lots of '08, '11, and '15, and my '08 is headed downhill fast. The '11 is great, but I think will peak soon (or is peaking).
However, in many ways, you need oxidation for this beer to develop. Did you mean that you didn't have off-flavors from the oxidation?

Yeah JW Lees is something else. Had a whiskey barrel 2013, sherry 2013, harvest 2007, and harvest 2001.
All were good but my ranking would be: sherry 2013, whiskey 2013, 2002, 2007

So upon trying some FW BA stuff, don't cellar the Velvet Merkin but definitely cellar the Stickee, unless you've never had one. I tried it for the first time recently, loved it fresh, but it'll definitely hold up.

BCBS...and I'm way too embarrassed to say just how much. If Jewel's stock prices went up last quarter, you're welcome.

Just a follow up for this thread..
Opened this up from 4/2017 . I have others from 2017 that will age more but I had to crack this open. And yes the taste was great.

I have a couple of those but they won't be cracked open for several more years. And I certainly will it be drinking them through a straw.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I was able to acquire some 2014 and 2015 and they hold up great .... I recently picked up some 2017 and it’s worth holding onto for a little bit I didn’t really appreciate how good they are aged until I had a fresh one a few months back

Fresh A&G is so amazing right now - I am also putting a couple in the cellar to see how it evolves. Probably my favorite gueuze to date.

I've been stuck trying to figure out how to answer this question. In terms of intentional aging, I think the only thing I have bought extra of is BCBS and KBS. However, I have traded for some beers that I intended to drink NOW, but because I am truly dreadful at consuming things consistently (I have that "I want to save it" mentality when something is special)....some things are finding themselves aged unintentionally. Others I have traded for in an effort to build a cellar so that I can just drink beer X when I really want one.
