Dumb question...anyone have good stores near forbidden root? I’m in the city more lately and looking for a good place with a decent selection.

I know there are tons in the city, but I don’t want to have to drive around and wonder about parking.

It’s 5 miles away but if you haven’t been to The Beer Temple, parking is ample on Elston

Not sure it belongs in this thread. I doubt it'll be NE in any way. DDH doesn't necessarily mean NE, and, as a sidebar, dry-hopping has been a thing since long before that style emerged.

I doubt it will be NE style either, but DDH and mosaic should give it a juicy, fruity flavor so we tick one of the boxes of the undefinable question of what is an NEIPA.

But then malt for days I imagine. I don’t mind seeing old school IPA’s getting into extra hopping though

Yep, what is an NEIPA is clear as mud. I mean clear as haze. Sorry, I mean hazy as mud...er, maybe just hazy?

Drinking a can right now. It’s good and worth grabbing. I’m still not convinced that TDH should be a thing (my least favorite Corridor beer was Nightmare and I thought Mikerphone’s didn’t work either)

agree - triple dry hopping is interesting, but single or double dry hopping is preferred.

It's all unclear meaning to me usually. I think some places are talking about volume of hops, some are about number of additions. Is this Marz beer more heavily hopped than others, or was the hop schedule split differently?

well if a beer is being made for the first time, is it technically even triple dry hopped or is that, technically, that beers standard dry hop?

imo they're all hype words. Like saying dry hopped pale ale. I've never heard of a pale ale that isn't dry hopped...that's part of locking in the hop flavor. You wouldn't say a milk stout With Lactose, cause its intuitive

I think there's likely some diminishing returns to triple dry hopping, not sure how much negative affect it can have though. Can a beer be too aromatic?

Each TDH beer I have had has been in the 9-10% range and veered into the overly sweet range. Not a brewer so I can’t explain why but that’s the result each time

You can triple dry hop a session IPA or pale ale. They have no effect on abv. So it's likely something other than the number of dry hop rounds that's throwing you off.
