Bruery 2018 RS/HS Allocations

Yeah, I just got my last shipper on Friday. Took two weeks and three days. But, I'm hoping that may have been related to out of stock membership merch.

 

I see that brunch is waxed (great to see) any word on salty bbls?

 

Based on the picture it looks foiled.

 

At smm now. They're handing out samples of an experimental beer. Imperial Rueuze with raspberry!

Not a fan of ToD with black currents. Prefer the original. Not bad I just don't like the new addition
Brunch, hmm. Smells and taste mostly of cinnamon which Im not a fan of, but i like this beer. Cinnamon is definitely the front runner with almond flavor behind that and maple sweetness on the back. Unfortunately cinnamon and maple are not my favorite in any beer, but this beers a winner. Not boozy. Very good.
Chocolate salty bbls i drank first while cold. Got a bit of booze, but better as it warmed. Need to give this one another chance.
Relax its just another hazy....ehh...

 

I thought the threshold for waxed bottles was $29.99 and up only. BT isn't waxed so I'm not sure

 

It used to be 30, but they changed it a couple years ago, not sure why this and marzapandamonium were waxed

 

See, I always thought that bottles were waxed when they were especially irritated with us all and wanted to punish us. Never realized it had anything to do with price. Kind of a moot point now that we have an opener up to the task of clearing wax... #theMoreYouKnow

 

I'm assuming they're breaking the rule for RS exclusives?

 

whats the coffee like in OTwB? Hoping for just a slight hint of coffee.

 

On the nose, i get coffee 1st. With alot of almond on the secondary. Cinnamon 1st on the taste, with coffee 2nd. I dont think ill max bottles though.

 

Welp,,,,,,, just had choco salty and i have to say its plain, right after trying OTwB. So ill be looking to actually max OTwB bottles and maybe only get one choco salty.

 

Yeah there was a bit of coffee there for sure. I do agree with @sponger that brunch is better than salty bbls

 

I also though $30 was the threshold for a wax job. Maybe the rules have changed?

First smm of tht new year and already going light again. Just not blown away by anything.

Choc salty was the best of the worst but stils wouldn't buy. A bit hot but also felt thin for me. Worst was a tie between girl Grey n tuesday we brunch. Brunch was almond extract and heavy cinnamon which was overpowering everything else. Barely finished the taster..girl Grey the smell I could tolerate but the lactose addition just gave for me a buttery coating on the roof of my mouth.

 

Did you try Marzipandemonium? And if so, can you compare Brunch to the almond flavor in that?

 

When BT was first released with the striped foil instead of wax, I asked someone at society pickups:

"Someone once told me that putting a bottle into hot wax causes some type of bottle/cap expansion, which can affect the tightness of the seal. Is that why you no longer wax your bottles?"

Society Center: "Wax bottles are $40 and over."

 

Marzi is much better than brunch due to no cinnamon. I think if maple was heavier and backed off the cinnamon this beer couldve been a double stack clone imo

 

We typically wax bottles that are more than $30 per 750-ml., but we make some special exceptions from time to time. This includes bottles from Bruery Terreux and beers that are Black Tuesday-forward.

 

Oh boy, another five pages of wax discussion again. This horse is so dead it's just a puddle.
