Beer above has been better tasting than the past two months of marz offerings.

Having the latest Marz now (cryoflayor and crazy straws) and am very underwhelmed. I guess it’s my own mistake following up after Corridor and Hubbard’s Cave hops.

I am a fan of tart and tangy though and I really hope that style catches on soon in Chicago.

Toppling Goliath Fire Skulls Money was weird. Had all the haze and aroma one could want but finished with a weird, almost minty aftertaste.

Glad I passsed. If I’m gonna pay $13 for a bomber these days...

Fuzzy Britches is a top tier hazy ipa around here. I'd say it's comparable to Squeezit.

While I don’t hate the Pats I am happy the eagles won. I am really enjoying a vortex as well and can’t wait till Thursday and Gummypocalypse to be released.

Oh wow! Glad you said this - I was remarking to my friend that I picked up a clear and strong minty note on the finish, and he thought I was crazy.

I thought it was a solid beer. Flavor was a tad muted, but a nice contrast to all the “sweet” hazey beers out there.

Wow we came to different conclusions. I thought it was pretty meh and a big let down given the Hop bill

Interesting, I was pretty impressed. I've got a second one so we'll see if I still like it that much.

I had it after Pipeworks Cryo Citra so not sure if that had anything to do with it too

Glad you could confirm my impressions of that beer. In the other thread they are raving about it.

It's interesting that people are getting minty notes in Fire, Skulls, & Money. I wasn't able to pick up on anything of the sort, and I thought the beer was fantastic. I even went back to Binny's to pick up two more bombers of it.

TG Mozee and Fire, Skulls, Money are excellent takes on the juicy hazy IPA if not exactly perfect exemplars of a NEIPA.

The nose on FS$ blew me away.

Great thread btw. I've been slowly reading through it and it pretty much exactly matches my discovery of the style in Chicago. Seems a lot of us owe our discovery of the style to a can of Cumulus!

It's got the look. But man, I have only had bad experiences with TDH hazies.

I haven't had a Hop Butcher beer in a long time, but for some reason I'm really intrigued by Blazed Orange. Maybe it's because I haven't had a beer in weeks.

Or maybe because you’re craving a solid Belgian style IPA.

    I kid, I kid.

Hop Butcher is made a block away from me and the irony is I will never find it on shelves.
