Was there last night and both Lil' Monsters and the Oatmeal Brown were solid.

Twin Elephant opens at 4 on Fridays right? Do they ever open early? My son has an appt at the local hospital up there and we are going to be done at 3:30ish. Was hoping to grab a growler but convincing the family to wait 30 minutes isn't going to work.

Opens at 4 on Fridays. I've gotten there right at 4 several times and I can't recall people going in much before then.

take them to the bottle king down the street, grab something there local and head over to TE. Or stop at the summit diner a few blocks away and get a quick bite to eat. Also, just drive slow, try to hit some lights :joy:

I don't really love 1-10 scales cause one man's 6 could be another man's 8. In general I'd say 7 or so on my personal scale.

can you compare your "ranking" to other Twin Elephant beers you may have given a similar ranking?

just super curious, i'm a bit busier today than expected so trying to figure out if it's really worth going to get a growler when i have some decent beer in the fridge and need to finish a homebrew keg that's getting a little old.

All I will say is I have decent beer in the fridge (OH, Grimm, Treehouse, Hill Farmstead, Conclave) and I did not get a growler of anything. If your decent beer is similar, I would just drink what's in your fridge.

sounds like they totally revamped the Shimmy Ye recipe too... diff hops, messing with grain bill, tweaking the process. curious to see how it changes.

from their email newsletter. it's more or less a new beer that will be taking place of their "house IPA" from the sounds of it. Based on their feelings about simcoe - could potentially lead to Lil Shimmy Ye being changed too?

Also, willing to guess that Shimmy Ye finds its' way into cans in the next few months.
