Well, that was an entertaining read. I remember last time this came up, it was the same thing. But, on to other things.

I actually enjoyed Black and Blue better than just standard Blue bbls, I thought the blackberry made it more complex (if that's possible).

I do like the whaleshark opener, and the HS brandy snifter is pretty great too. The only downside to the snifter is how thin the glass is, but having a weekday beer in is the best.

Just had a taster of OTWB, and I’m glad I didn’t order any bottles. I can see the overall appeal of this beer, but the almond scent was too overpowering for me. The cinnamon was noticeable, but not too strong. I would’ve rather had a stronger maple flavor like M&FT.

I enjoyed the flavor of CS Bbls much more, but a taster was all I needed.

I’m also curious what everyone felt about Chronology: 18 Porter. I’ve seen it go on and off tap here and there. I much preferred 12, but I’m surprised 18 has still not been made available aside from society exclusive taps. Was this the case for the old ale and wee heavy during their first run?

The first rule of trolling is to be funny though. That was just sad.

Picked up my beers from the DC location last weekend. Fast and easy service with a nice store front. Really looking forward to the crowler station getting added (think I heard it was added this week) Does anyone know if the Brusicles are going to make it to the DC location?

Had some while in CA in Dec and hoping they make it over here.

Anybody know about the $30? credit for renewing their membership? I may have missed an email or previous post.

It was brought up about a month ago and I think it was still being ironed out

Only one person can have the last word, so for everyone’s sake, we should all stop trying to be that person. Nobody is winning this argument and the fact that we’ve spent 3-4 days going back and forth actually means that we all lost lol

On another note, finally opened WC with Cherries for valentines and I dig it. More WC on the nose than the taste, but the cherries came through nicely. Also drinks waaaaaay too smooth for 14%

I just found out there is an ignore feature. The thread cleared up nicely after getting rid of the guy who started it.

I thought about ignoring him but didn't so I can feel higher about myself when he post.

Anyone know anything about the 4 Goses? Perhaps another release similar to Orchard Project?

I'll wait to see the "more releases in the works" list before I chalk up $50. I have a feeling these will all be on the smm lists in a few months anyways.

Does anyone talk about the beer anymore? Good grief.

Being there are 2 days for the current allocations, does anyone have input on Choc Salty BBLs? I'm in camp 375ml, and I'm not pulling the trigger on any 750mls of the 15%+ anymore unless its really worth having.

Hopefully I can comment on it tomorrow. Have not been able to make it this month so far.

I see today that a local shop in VA tweeted they have Girl Grey, yet if I had bought on the Feb allocation... I would get it in March sometime?

It doesn't really bother me or invalidate the value of the societies, but somehow that seems like something isn't quite right.

If I remember correctly, the public release was set to be 2/14 and we had two weeks to purchase it prior to that. I'm guessing the DC allocations will always be a little bit behind the curve since nothing is brewed there.

Klwines.com had Girl Grey listed for sale before we got the Monday allocations at the beginning of Feb. It's not something I'd buy anyhow, but it was definitely available in some locations before we could even purchase it online.

Just need to keep in mind that most society beers will not be available in your local store. This just happens to be one that they decided to distro well before it was bottled. If this was the norm, we'd be seeing ToD, Or Xata, or Mischief pop up in our allocations on a regular basis. You can see that GG is also available for public sale on the beer page.
