Power nap? Full night's rest! I slept from midnight to almost 8AM last year in my tent. Of course, I could sleep in the middle of a Bad Religion concert, so my experience may not be typical.

I'll be in all black but wearing my Packer waffle knit winter hat.

Looking forward to cracking beers with you Bill!

Once you get your bottles can you leave to put them in your car and get back in to the event?

Kudos to you Corey! Yeah I'm a pretty light sleeper, which sucks in these situations. As a first timer of Darkness, is it frowned upon to leave the area you are waiting in line tonight and then come back after a few hours of napping?

Leaving to go home - probably, by some. Retreating to your tent or car - no.

Not at all. Make friends with those around you, and you're good. Last year I got a solid five hours in my car. Just set about 20 cell phone alarms.

What?! I cant go home and sleep in the warm comfort of my own bed, take a shower, eat some breakfast, watch some ESPN and then drive back and get back in my spot?! What the hell is this?!

Trying to figure out what to do with my stuff once the gates open. A friend and I are getting dropped off around 10 tonight, picked up tomorrow afternoon. Don't really want to leave my tent and sleeping bag lying around after the gates open. Wondering if anyone has any clever ideas?

honestly, you'll probably be ok. If not, there will be people hanging out in the line area at all times of the day. make yourself some friends and find a caretaker to watch your tent while you're inside. you'll be amazed at the stuff that just sits around in the open all day. for the most part, people are good about self-policing and respecting other people's stuff

are we allowed to put our bottles of darkness back in our car so we don't have to drag them around the whole event?

Yep - once the "event" starts, it's an open gate policy so you can come and go as you please

How long do you need to store your stuff for? I'll be at the event for a couple of hours after it opens, and you're welcome to store your stuff in my car if it will put your mind at ease. Cheers, Jeff

I will have a dock truck waiting, to help you all store your bottles while you are enjoying the festivities.
Don't worry that the truck is running; that's only so that I can stay warm when I'm inside...

I'll also have car space. Plan on getting there around 8 tonight and napping for a while (1-7) and getting up and starting all over again. But I should have plenty of room to store your things. I'll be the guy wearing a Minnesota Gophers stocking cap making breakfast burritos over on Penguin3200's stove tomorrow morning.
