Agree with others: make friends in line. If you're next to me or fifty people I know, any of them would throw your stuff in their car for safekeeping.

I'd be wary of leaving your stuff out. Friend who came with last year had her chair stolen. Camp chair. Really? We saw it about halfway back in the line, went & asked the guy "Is that your chair?" Minnesota thief nice, he blushes & says, "Ah, no." Gets up, & we got the chair back. Dumbass!

Anyways. 99% of the people there will be cool, but there's always the other 1%.

 

Just packed the car to the brim.

 

The 17% are always sticking it to the 84%!

 

So I got inspired to do some baking last night, and I have some chocolate oatmeal stout cupcakes with oatmeal stout maple vanilla frosting to nosh on this evening. I'm sure they won't be on par with the CBS cupcakes, but they're fair game.

 

Does anyone know the laws regarding sleeping in your car while intoxicated in MN? I would hate for some jerk cop to give a guy a DUI for catching some zzz's in his back seat tonight.

 

As far as the laws.... I know for sure if you are in the front seats and the keys are in the car (regardless of if they are in the ignition or not), you can get hit for that.

 

Odd question, does anyone have a iPhone car charger they are willing to bring along?

 

You can get a DUI in MN for sleeping in a car while intoxicated.

That said, the police have been very cool about D-Day, probably because we behave ourselves pretty well. If you are going to sleep in your car, you might want to play it safe and leave your keys with someone who is not in the vehicle.

 

I have one I can bring for you. Though it won't work with the new iPhone 5 since they changed the dock arrangement.

 

I've been to plenty of bars early the next morning to pick up my car and have seen people sleeping in their car in the parking lot. It all comes down to if you have the ability to start/drive your car. Like they said, keep your keys with someone else.

 

Anyone willing to offer a ride from Chicago? My boss just gave me the weekend off. I am ready to ride and have a few beers to bring along. Return trip isn't necessary(unless it works out for the both of us). Getting there is my issue. I'd really like to attend especially now that I have the time available. I'll definitely help out in any capacity needed.
