alphabetically listing of beers

    I've been using BA for over 10 years and until recently a breweries beers were always listed alphabetically which makes it very easy to find a particular beer. Of late the list of beers comes up in some random order and it makes it impossible to local a particular beer. Because of this I have found myself gravitating towards other web sites that still list beers alphabetically. I just wanted someone to know this, so when you no longer see any activity with my account you'll know why.

    Beer listings under brewers are, and have always been, listed alphabetically by default.

    Where are you seeing otherwise?

    Just checked 5 different breweries from my review list. Each list came up in alpha order.

    As mentioned by @Todd this has been the case as long as I've been on this site and is still the case from what I'm seeing.

    Of course, you can always click on the "Name" in the column titles to sort...

    I have encountered this one time (around New Years) when accessing the "All" beers list and it was sorted by number of reviews and could easily be fixed by clicking on the Name label in the top of the column.

    I encountered this last week with Mikkeller specifically. I just double checked and it is, indeed, defaulting to an order of least to most reviews (with least reviews on top). I looked up a handful of breweries randomly and they are all defaulting to alphabetical so I don't think it's on my end. No idea why Mikkeller would be different.

    You "fix" / change it, but if I click on a beer and come back it will go back to the original order rather than what I changed it to.

    Yeah, I had that happen a few times but the name clicking gets her done.

    Mikkeller is the only one that I see this behavior on - I wonder if it has something to do with the large number of active beers? @Todd @Mike

    Can anyone else come up with another brewery that has more than 300 active beers? Can we see if this behavior is present on that page?

    I just did a quick test using 3 Floyds and The Bruery. Both brewers Active lists are sorted alphabetically. The Bruery's Archive list is also alphabetical, but 3 Floyds' is not, at least on my screen.

    I can produce the problem with Tired Hands on the Arch list and the All list.

    Short's Brewing has 316 current beers and the list comes up in alpha order.

    @Mike is looking into it and thinks he may have found the issue. Hopefully we will see an update soon on this.

    Bellwoods has been like this for some time. Only a little over 100 active beers.
