Dang, missed this. I assume they killed it last night.

From what I understand, it kicked just before 5:00.

Coincidentally, I just stumbled upon that info as well (not via your bro-in-law)

    $8 for 6oz seems expensive.

Typical Apex pricing. It was $8 for 10oz at the Upper Lip.

Exactly. And remember, they only take cash at the Apex, because presumably their prices are so low.

Twist Wine this weekend via friend Chris Horton & confirmed on Facebook via cryptic reference to Pretty Young Thing. Enjoy. I will be curious to know what they charge for a glass. Can someone report since I won't be able to make it this year.

Did they say when exactly they're going to tap they're keg? I'd be happy to run on over there and get a glass... in the interest of scientific research of course.

They didn't say. I think the cryptic Michael Jackson Pretty Young Thing post is their (probably not so effective) attempt to keep the beer around longer this year. I hear it went in about 1.5 days last year. The word is out about Twist, unfortunately.

I thought 1 1/2 days was pretty good. Had it two days in a row and never had to stand in line. It got a little crowded though. Count on it being available when they open on Saturday John.

Yeah, compared to literally any other place that gets it, 1.5 days is an eternity. But still, it's lasted several days, if not weeks, in years past.

    Thanks.

Maybe I can combine it with a trip to Pelican. Haven't been there in a while either.

Had a glass of this on Tuesday and it was fantastic this year. As for the PtY hunt, I'm guessing Belmont Station will hopefully tap theirs when they reveal their renovated bar.

Younger was on earlier, but it was gone after a couple of hours of tapping. Go for the Reuben's Triple Crush. It's much better.

Well I'm a pessimist and I'm expecting the worst. But it's a nice sunny day here, and so the drive to the coast should be enjoyable. So I'm game for it, no matter how things turn out. I plan to hit NWIPA later today anyway, so I'm sure I'll get my fill of excellent tipa's.
