Chicagoland NE IPAs (2018)

Was very pleasantly surprised by the can I had. Wasn't expecting much but found it enjoyable.

 

Bought the mixed 12pk and was surprised how much I liked it. Are the six packs out yet.

Okay, one last question! From what I can gather, it seems Toppling Goliath is now distributed hoppy bottles to spots Chicago? Any recommendations on stores/bars in the Wicker Park area that might have some bottles? Or draft (if kegs are also popping up)?

 

haven't seen much TG on draft anywhere

liquor park and garfield's usually has bombers though.

 

Hailstorm has a fresh batch of cumulus cans today at the taproom in Tinely park. According to their Instagram account.

 

Just snagged a 4 pack of snoochie and 2 toro cans. Excited try these versions. Also - just got back from Madison, Dare Mighty Things is a beer you should all seek out. Great hop bill. Honestly have been a bit hazed out, this beer was exceptional and had both west coast and east coast qualities.

Side note, any thoughts on just creating a Chicagoland IPA thread and just including anything interesting there? The constant “is this a NE ipa?” conversation about any pale that is remotely unfiltered or juice forward is a bit repetitive.

I was just really understanding what ‘true’ craft beer was all about when a guy at Marcey Binny’s came up to me with a four pack of Galaxy Bowl and said “you’re going to want to drink this.”
