Oh shit! That's where that second Roll Call went!

The short story is that I got too fat too soon after 12/31/94, and I'm hoping it'll fit you. I bought that shirt when I was chaperoning my then 16 year-old cousin on the new year's run. Fishman's aunt traded her floor tickets for our "ordinary" tix since she was too short to see over the crowd. We were treated to the first voyage of the Phish hot dog rocket ship... I laughed my ass off for the entire gag.

Wow, great story and very cool shirt. It will fit just fine and I'm happy to put it into my concert rotation. Thanks again for the ticks and hey, my CraftWife thanks you for that "extra" Roll Call. Drank the Powder can last night, solid brew.

Your story (and shirt) reminds me of a story of my own. When I was living in Cleveland, a group of 5 of us decided to make the trip up to Limestone ME for IT. Long drive (~20 hours-ish?) and limited cargo space (we took a smaller model Ford Explorer) forced us to get somewhat creative in our packing since we had to bring coolers for beverages and food plus camping gear, clothes, etc. So I got the bright idea that we could all just buy clothes at the local thrift store, pack very light and as the clothes got dirty, we'd just trash them or donate them up there. One of the articles I purchased was a yellow t-shirt from The Sanitary Restaurant in Morehead NC. I'd never heard of the place and the shirt was in decent shape at the time. Well I wore it the first day and probably had 15 people ask me about it - had I been there, they grew up near there, they remember their grandparents talking about going there, they remember going there on vacation, etc. I wore it a second day and the same thing happened so I decided to keep the shirt and wear it to concerts only. The catch was that if I ever wore it to a concert and no one asked me about it, I had to get rid of it. That was in the summer of 2003 and I think I finally retired the shirt in maybe 2010 or 2011! When I met my future CraftWife in 2008, she was a little hesitant about me wearing this now ratty looking t-shirt on concert dates. When I told her the reason, she got on board and would laugh each show how at least 1 person would randomly come up to me and ask about that shirt. I kept the shirt but haven't worn it since. On a side note, my buddy who is going to Huna with me this year witnessed a few of those episodes at concerts himself and ended up going to The Sanitary last summer and bought me a brand new long sleeve so it might be time to start it up again but it needs broken in first!

dearest target: I missed the shipping window (this week has been hell). I'm gonna scoop up some more cans and really pack that box full tonight. never fear, it'll be wrecking your porch before the end of next week.

Speaking of sweet hairy bastards... I'm out of town this weekend and I get a message from the little lady saying there's a box. "Can't be beer," I says, "my Alaskan bro hasn't sent yet."

"The return address says Jesse something."

I asked her to unpack and take photos... will post them when I can. Thanks Jesse. I miss your hairy face.

That is impressive, especially considering UPS is at a week with a box going the other direction.

I mean from what I've heard.
I don't have any first hand knowledge.
I'm fairly certain my target has no clue that I shipped to them, I mean, how could they?

@blackcloud absolutely nailed me. This on top of the box from @jfstilling as well as some cans I snuck in my suitcase before leaving Atlanta... gots to get busy this weekend. That's maybe 3,000 miles in 26 hours. Someone's got a friend at FedEx.

Pictures to come tonight, but I wanted to say thank you so much as soon as possible.

My basement fridge is packed to the gills. I'm solo with my son this weekend, hoping he doesn't mind an adult party.

It will be convenient to have those young legs to go up and down the basement steps every time Daddy needs another beer.

Here's what @jfstilling dropped on me. I honestly wondered for a moment whether Jesse thought he was in the Can BIF and then I realized that no, he's just nuts. And generous. Thanks, bro.

All but the Bud Light and the BA Ten Fidy are new ticks. Poor me--I'll have to drink that one again, I guess.

This big, bad box made it over 3,000 miles in 23 hours.

Filled with so much goodness. Every single one of these is new to me.

Thanks @blackcloud. My neighbor and I have been talking about getting together to share beers, and this pretty much makes it certain. You filled my fridge, you filled my belly... and you're also bringing my neighborhood a little closer together.

I'll tell you one thing. My boy (13) heard Alaska and said, "at least it'll be cold" or some such thing. The kid has the instinct.
