It's not the Rye (which was my top 3 at FOBAB). But I'm just as excited for the regular. I'll try to save you all some pours

Don't get me wrong the Regular is incredible as well, I'm just a Rye barrel junkie I guess. Ive had the Regular a few times and the Rye just gave it a different depth of flavor.

Happy anniversary Forbidden Root. Wish I could be there tonight cuz I'm sure it'll be pretty Kick-Ass but have to work instead.

    Cheers

Semi-sadly I can't make it, I've got a birthday dinner tonight. Everybody have a good time and save your whales for next Tuesday.

If you're at the anniversary party and want any Snoochie or Toro cans to take home the convenience store a couple doors down (to the left if you're facing FR) has them. Went there to hit the ATM so I could snag some raffle tickets and found that pleasant surprise.

Great time tonight. The Lil Beaver beer and Ghost Tropic Tangerine (on the tour) were phenomenal.

Such a good party. I came for the haze but really loved the Kleine Krumel! Ghost Tropic was amazing, as were Snoochie, Toro, and Squeezit. As I mentioned in a post earlier tonight, I ran to the convenience store a couple doors down to use the ATM so I could buy some extra raffle tickets and while there found that they had Snoochie Boochies and Toro cans, so I was able to pick up both of those while I grabbed some cash. I used that cash to buy some raffle tickets and ended up winning one of the pieces of Tony Fitzpatrick artwork! Had the lamb ribs for dinner which were really tasty. And thanks to @KrajDoesBeer for plucking me out of the line for anniversary tickets and telling me they'd take care of me at the bar. All in all, couldn't have had a better experience.

The Ghost Tropic that is currently on tap is insane and is imo, the best beer Forbidden Root has ever done. Absolutely incredible. The best NE IPA in the city. Imo, it's better than Snoochie.

    The Ghost Tropic sounds amazing.

Has anyone else had an issue with flat Toro! cans? Shared one last night and it was completely flat which sucked because on draft it was so perfect.

I didn't make it to the FR Ann. party, but I did celebrate with a Toro which made for an earlier bed time than expected. I wouldn't say Toro cans are flat, but I definitely noticed there was no head on the beer despite a vigorous pour. The mouthfeel was spot on so I can't believe there was a carb issue, but man, the booziness....

The root canal definitely was not more fun than that. I'm sad I'll be out of town for the Ghost Tropic release it sounds like its on point. Hopefully some lasts on draft or cans to when I'm in on Tuesday for the share.

the last GT was awesome, excited to try this version.

I'm likely in the minority here, but i think this recent Snoochies is noticeably different than previous batches. and for me, it's not in a good way...despite being super cloudy, i got much more bite and less juice. just nowhere near as smooth as before.

I believe this is what they were going for as they added a lot more hops to this Snoochie and GT batch (I strongly prefer the heavier hops). GT has a lot more hop bite to it so I'll be curious to see what you think.
