I would say that even though this Ghost Tropic has more hops and is thicker in body, it still qualifies as fruity and juicy to me.

I would say the current batch of Snoochie is way more DANK. This current batch of Ghost Tropic is still very very tropical. I'm a big fan of both obviously, and think the current versions are the best thus far. Did a side by side of SqueezeIt and Ghost Tropic, as Squeezeit was on tap also. SqueezeIt was incredible, but I preferred the Ghost Tropic.

Maybe an outlier? I just had one out of a can last night (purchased at Beermiscuous, so after distribution) and thought it held up to prior batches really well. Drank really smooth to me and didn't have any bite. Same experience I had with another can (purchased straight from FB) last Friday.

I agree with you on this. The can of Snoochies I had last night was very sweet with a harsh, boozy finish. If this is how it tastes because they put more hops in it then they should go back to what they were doing before because it's bad now. The Snoochie cans I had in August were creamy and dank and lovely. I'll definitely give Ghost Tropic a shot, though.

FWIW, haven't had a can from this batch but the wife and I both loved the Snoochies we had on tap at FR last weekend. It was dank as hell and IMO significantly better than the previous batch.

it makes sense if way more hops were added, but snoochie before this last batch had very little dankness and almost no hoppy/harsh finish. it was an extremely smooth juice bomb.

i'll just have to re-adjust my expectation of it if this is the direction it's going. has anyone tried the recent marz ChiPA? that reminds me of the previous snoochie batches.

I would say maybe I had a bad can but my brother felt the same way about the beer. I wouldn't think adding more hops would make the beer sweeter and boozier. Usually malt is what gives beer a sweet finish. I love a nice hoppy finish. It's an IPA, it is supposed to be at least a little bitter at the end.

Is it possible you are confusing it with Toro?

Nope. I didn't love Toro when I had it last year and passed on cans this time around.

Echoing a previous comment, I've found recent cans of Toro to be barely carbonated, although still delicious.

As for the recent batch of Snoochie - I loved the cans I tried the week they were released, but now that we're a few weeks later, it's still good but not quite as great as it was (drinking one right now). Maybe just the fact that it's been sitting for 2-3 weeks?

It’s not 2-3 weeks, is it? Weren’t the cans released 2 weeks ago? I don’t think anyone had cans 3 weeks ago. I had one tonight as well, and it’s definitely missing the creaminess that I found in the draft I had on Sunday. Still a good beer, but not something to go crazy for...which is how I felt on Sunday with the draft version.

I had a Snoochies a few days ago and also thought it tasted a bit flatter than right after release. Still really good, just not quite great. I'm not a fan of Toro fresh or old. Looking forward to the Ghost Tropic release today.
